Me too, was the "slow" class of the 3 that got the TV time (top fuel, funny car, and pro stock). Always loved seeing the Ford win.
 
Sad day! Still remember the Have You Driven A Ford Lately commercials. Great man for the sport and Ambassador for Ford.

He and his family were racing while we were, and we really admired their family involvement. His passion and dedication was a real inspiration, a high water mark for anyone who aspired to excel. A life well lived. May he rest in peace.
