Hi Guys I was at the Ohio Cobra Club show 2 weeks ago in London Ohio. While there I spotted a GT black with gold stripe. Great looking car. This was not a stock colour combo. Anyone know who the owner is?

Very few people I know have scruples.

Man that doesnt to it for me, why waste the paint? Billy

It's the rental version - he should change the side stripe to read

FORD GT-H

It don't look half bad, question is "wonder who the owner is"???

Looks pretty good I think, but I guess I´m a bit biased :lol

I like seing FGTs with owners personal touches added

My own preference with regard to "gold" would be more of an 18kt color done via micro-mini metal flake & pearl.

...Must come from spending too much time at The Wynn, huh Sam...:biggrin

Yea, the Hertz special edition. And speaking of tacky, at this years BJ auction in Scottsdale, where some of us gathered for a great dinner, there was a Pantera that had an engine/compartment completely covered in gold leaf. The interior too. Maybe the wheels. Anyone else see that? It was a sin.
Oh, and I truly hope that the owner/seller/buyer does not read this thread...

Yea, the wheels had gold coins inserted in the middle. Talk about a BLING Pantera. Looked like Sammy Davis once owned it? I think it sold for around $40,000. Tomy

YES!! That's my good friend Fred Piluso's car. He stayed with me in Arizona during Barrett Jackson this year and drove his car to the dinner, but with lights, nobody really noticed the gold stripes. He lives in Ohio in the summer time and a very close friend. He once owned Scruples Beach Club a nightclub in Honolulu, now he resides in sunny (ha ha) Ohio. He told me about his cruise to the Cobra show earlier this week. Mystery solved, Great Success! (By the way he is registered on the FGT forum, but never posts.) By the way, he owns an original Shelby Hertz Mustang, and hence the gold stripes.

Ahh, I sat next to Fred (and you and family) at the dinner. He's a great guy, and he mentioned the Hertz car (among others). Very knowledgeable about F-cars too. I didn't know he had bookends.
Whew, I thought you were going to say that Fred owned the Pantera...
(he didn't, did he?)

YES, the gold coins. I think they were going to melt the car down and turn it in to dental work.
Too bad actually, I'm a closet Pantera lover. Just not the gold kind. I was at a C&C gathering yesterday and a fellow at a highly modified Pantera. New motor/trans (huge), moved a few inches forward, 10" wider rear, a bunch of CF. Quite something.

Tim, you tell Fred Sammy approves. Well done in my opinion.:thumbsup:thumbsup

I actually love it. Would be interesting to see it with some gold coloured BBS rims... Black/gold stripes.... Silver/black stripes are very vintage combinations imo

Looks good!

:agree:

I like it, but I am pretty open minded. My first thought went to "Hertz" and it makes sense since he owns an original Hertz mustang.

At least he didn't paint the stripes ORANGE!! :biggrin

I will Sam. I'm having dinner with him this week.

I dig it,with just a few of the right mods this would look killer.
