Saw that one on the air. A great story, by a great story teller. Thanks for posting:biggrin

Great video!

No one tells a story like Coz...

Great story but I think those cars ran twin superchargers... ?

Twin Paxtons

Yep, those two Cobras had twin Paxton centrifugal superchargers on them. I was at B-J last year when Shelby's old car (CSX3015) sold for $5.5mil (with buyer's premium). I worked on Shelby's car a few years back when the previous owner brought it to a SAAC Convention. He wanted to take it out on the track for some parade laps - but it didn't pass tech inspection. A buddy and I worked on it a while to get it pass tech. When I sat in the driver's seat of it....I was thinking of the 'Coz and his great tale....

This brings back fond memories of my father's record albums (I think they used to call them that) by Bill Cosby. I especially liked his tales about sports cars, talking to gas station attendant - 'Bob', not knowing where the gas tank was, and having to go 'burn the gunk out'.

Thanks for the post.

Coz, is a great storyteller especially about his supersnake twin charged. Carroll told me Cosby made millions of dollars just telling the story that he owned less than 1 hour and around his driveway. Shelby also told me the twin supersnakes were bad about vibrations and would throw the belts with no power steering. What a classic. Tomy Hamon PS Sue and I were on the stage with Carroll and Cleo at BJ when it sold last year for $6.0 Million including sale fee.

Too funny. :lol

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. When I saw a lot of FGT owners putting twin turbos on their FGTs, it reminded of this Shelby twin turbo Cobra. My Cobra shakes exactly like ole Cosby explained and you can't see much out of the rear view mirror when it's idling. It's not as refined as the FGT, but it's a lot of fun.

The album is called "200 mph," and it's even available on iTunes.

AlohaGT,

Here's a picture of my Cobra.

Breathtaking! That's one hell of a color and a beauty of an engine bay. Thanks for sharing. :thumbsup

It's my understanding the guy who ended up with the Cosby car died in a crash of that car. Sad ending to the two of two car story...

Yes, but Brian Anglis a former owner of AC rebuilt that car. What was supposed to have happened was that both cars where to be on sale on the same weekend, Cluxton's at B-J and the former Cosby car at Russo. But according to the story, the Cosby car was hung up at customs. Then it was supposed to sell this year at Russo Scottsdale and I don't recall seeing it....

AlohaGT,

Here's a picture of my Cobra.

I know the feeling well, there is just something else about a car that jarrs your teeth and shakes your whole body when at idle, and at 7500 rpm, well you dont notice anything else around, great fun.

Interesting info. Thanks for the update. As the late Johnny Carson would say " I did not know that " ... :biggrin
I wonder what that car will go for?
