VIN # 117 2005 42,500 miles Seller claims it was the 2nd regular production car and was used as a test mule for various certification tests. Seller says all prior cars were 'prototypes', hand built and not on the production line. The 1st production 'line' car was 115... this one was #2.
Honestly, I don't know if that is true or not. Just passing it on.

#862 2005 217 miles. I will post the sales prices for both these cars after they sell.

They were the only two GT's for sale that I saw a Barrett J. There may be more but I didn't see them after walking the full show all day.

They had a red w/ orange NFGT on display and the Lemans winning #68 on a turntable.

Jim Padilla drives his VIN 015 to our car guy lunches. Not a prototype.

Please Tell Jim Padilla that Andy Benedict said 'hello'....( Jim was one of my bosses at Ford Motor Co.)

I own #30 and it certainly doesn't look like a prototype either. Maybe they changed the production process at 115 but who knows? I was just relaying what the seller said. [emoji15]

Are you saying the liquid red is at the Barrett Jackson this week?

No, the NGT here at BJ is black with orange stripe. I think "job one"

Did the red gt sell the 41000 mile one ?

I believe the GTs are scheduled for prime time Saturday. The quicksilver right after Bieber's Ferrari

I talked to Rich Roback about the red one last night. Vin 117 is a "production car" that was used by Ford's marketing dept. He said it didnt have any major significance in the program. Vin 116 was the water test car. This car was flooded many times in the quest to make the GT as dry inside as possible, Rich didnt know where that car wound up. So fun to have so many of the team around to get answers on our cars. Thanks Rich!!

The silver car just sold for $272,000. That's $297,200 with fees. Seems a bit low for a 200 mile car. No stripe silver. The auction timing ended up a bit strange as the auction was hyping the Bugatti when the the GT came up on the block. But if you are a fan of Justin Bieber, his accident damaged 2011 Ferrari 458 went for $350,000. Go figure.

Red one hammered at 225K

The red GT just sold for $255,000. With fees that number goes to $280,500. All the money on the car given the mileage. Red and a marketing car. Watching the auction, the silver car should have brought more but there seemed to be some confusion as it came up to the block. All the hype was put on the Bugatti Grand Sport which was after the GT.

Oops, $225,000 was correct. My apologies, looked it up on the BJ site. That's $247,500 with fees. Seems like a fair buy at that value.

There is some major strange things going on with the TV and live coverage. The hammer on the live stream fell at 225K and the price shown on the short docket shows 247.5K (225K+10%). Yet the full detailed listing for lot 1394 shows a sold final of 280.5K. I just went back in the recording and indeed it shows 255K. They had a split screen commercial + car on the block and then broke to full commercial but the voiceover after they came back said 255K. The "no sound" shot before they broke to full commercial did show it going to 250 and then I think 255K before they went to full screen commercial.
