Torrie -

I have a video clip of the building of the Ford B-24 Liberators (page 25) but no way to upload it here. Fabulous B/W footage.

Awesome !

Ralphie...very cool stuff. My dad flew the B-24 in WWII. He crashed three of them, survived (must have survived since I am here!) Is there anyway I could get the clip you refer to of the building of the B-24 LIberator??
I am sure he would enjoy watching it.

Andy -

I found a seccond version of the clip - actually a little longer - at this website - just scroll down to the video:

http://yellowairplane.com/Book_Reviews/Warren_Benjamin_Kidder/WillowRun_Cover.html

The version I have is found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKlt6rNciTo

If you do a Google on "Willow Run Bomber Plant," (http://www.google.com/search?client...&q=Willow+Run+Bomber+Plant&btnG=Google+Search) you'll find quite a lot of information there. Hope this helps.

Interesting aluminum front spoiler. Looks larger too.

Look close, for all you broken gauge fans out there, the auto meter gauges fit:thumbsup Also those gold/orange bbs wheels, the outer hoops were cut in and out to get the right tire size at the track as they only had 16 months to make the car complete........just a little trivia, nice old article....gjoey1314

Thanks for the read. Very enjoyable. That was a magical time beating Ferrari and the marketing of toys took advantage of that; I had a slot car set with a Ford GT model. Loved racing it.

Thanks for taking the time to put that up Torrie - a really enjoyable read. 2003 must have been quite early for any review of the GT, my memory doesn't stretch back that far!!
