Payload – is the combined weight of cargo and passengers that the
vehicle is carrying. The maximum payload for your vehicle can be found
on the Tire Label on the B-Pillar or the edge of the driver’s door. Look
for “THE COMBINED WEIGHT OF OCCUPANTS AND CARGO
SHOULD NEVER EXCEED XXX kg OR XXX lb.” for maximum
payload. The payload listed on the tire label is the maximum payload for
the vehicle as built by the assembly plant. If any aftermarket or dealer
installed equipment has been installed on the vehicle, the weight of the
equipment must be subtracted from the payload listed on the tire label
in order to determine the new payload.
The appropriate loading capacity of your vehicle can be limited
either by volume capacity (how much space is available) or by
payload capacity (how much weight the vehicle should carry). Once
you have reached the maximum payload of your vehicle, do not add
more cargo, even if there is space available. Overloading or improperly
loading your vehicle can contribute to loss of vehicle control and
vehicle rollover.

What is the widest tires that can be used for track? Would Hoosiers A6 275/35-18 F and 345/30-19 R work?

Likewise any weight removed from the car, can be added to the payload capacity.

Like dumping the Mac and stock muffer! That should get you 60 lbs more load capacity.

This weekend the GTguys will be installing a Heffner exhaust, I already removed the Mac. From the weight savings I can now pig out over the holidays and not worry about overloading the GT!

It will be tight if you are considering that size for road racing. You will not have very much clearance for the front wheels turning and may rub.

How does two reflected in the clearest of paint and a pair of full-on
English breasts compare? In that case, Black with stripes is the quickest (as in 1966).

Fastest

Babes in the front seat is not valid.

That would suggest that the GTX-1 has been pre-determined to be faster than all of the candy cane colored GT's, due to it's un-fair advantage of have excess babe storage space. :banana

Sorry neilda.

The question has an easy answer, it is the one "WITH OUT STRIPS" is faster - (that extra paint weight adds up):cheers

Two questions:
1. The factory protective tape has been on the "scuff plates" inside my car for over a year. When I removed it, some of the glue was left behind on the brushed aluminum. Decal adhesive remover got rid of the glue, however, there is some shadowing of the tape & glue which is visible. What will remove that?

2. Am I correct in assuming that the front license plate bracket attaches to the nose above the radiator & screws directly into the leading edge of the nose. :ack If so, what are some of you guys doing with your front plate to skirt around the inspection process?

The Factory size Hoosiers, 245/45/18 ( stock 235) and the 315/40/19 work great! Five seconds faster laps at MSRHouston.com.

Why in the world did Ford discontinue the front grill that protects the radiator? :bs
Do we just need to order the part and install ourselves? :frown

KJR, there are a lot of old posts about this. The screen was discontinued for airflow purposes. If you have an '06, the piece won't fit, so you'd have to buy a whole new entire front end. I skirted the license plate issue with the Speedlingerie bra. I ordered the plate option, but don't use it. Only one person so far on this forum has posted pictures of his car with the front plate on - look for RedWhite from Dubai. The bra also has a mesh screen up front. Look for my pictures in my members gallery. FJP
