Wow, pretty cool looking GT40 Go Karts at Barrett Jackson: http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails.aspx?ln=5495&aid=403&it=3

There was a heritage one as well. Unbelievable prices at auction on them... Too much for a go kart for me, but they do look very very nice.

Steve Davis (Barrett-Jackson) son-in-law is the person who build those / he is a very cool guy and does crazy-exceptional work

They are much much more then just a body on go cart!

Bad link Mr. Gulf....mind reposting it?

55k for a go kart??? That's beyond insane money...

Yup ,
That is retarded for a go cart.Don’t let the heritage scheme fool you!
I’ll stick with my RC car!

The same money would buy someone a new 'Vette.

'Guess it all boils down to who wants or needs what, for what, and how much he's willing to part with to get it.

IOW, it's the same ole story! :biggrin

About three years ago I met Steve's son in law and Daughter at BJ before his creation was auctioned. They told me they produce a go- cart for the auction every year and they sell for big money. That year they built a cobra and it was very accurate in detail and as I remember it sold in the 40's. He's a master builder and gets a lot of attention because of who he is. His creations are always sold during peak auction time for memorabilia .

I think that is the Heritage mark up! The red one is probably half that - LOL!

Oh well in that case, that would be correct - ROTFLMFAO

And probably just a pedal car to boot!

Yeah, that link goes down from time to time, I don't know why. I think it is because the auction has ended and they are moving it to a different part of their website.

The Gulf go kart link has worked sporadically ever since the auction was over. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails.aspx?ln=5499&aid=525&it=3
