Finally pulled the trigger on a Red 2005 and couldn't be happier. Every time I look in the garage, it puts a smile on my face, but not near as big as the one when I'm driving it!

I'm the third owner of the car. The guy I bought it from, was just an owner/driver, so he didn't have any of the technical details on the engine mods that the first owner did.

The mods that I know of are, pulley upgrade and tune, but not sure which one on either. Accufab throttle body, cat back exhaust, and Moton suspenion.

Unfortunately at some point after sitting in the previous owners garage, the battery went dead and he put a jumper on it. Obviously he didn't read this forum. Lost the tach, oil pressure gauge, voltmeter, and odometer. The temp gauge wasn't working but came back with a new battery. Already ordered all new gauges from Speedhut! Only thing I can't find any info on is the dead odometer. Any advice with that would be greatly appreciated.

Wish I had been able to make it to NOLA. Looks like a great time. Looking forward to my first GT Rally next year.

Great looking car you will love the expierence

Welcome aboard - :thumbsup

Cobrajeff may have the mod info from the 1st owner, and possibly know who and where that owner is. Just send him a PM with the VIN number.

Enjoy!!!!

:cheers

As the last "newest owner" let me welcome you to the board!!! Lol

Broken odometer, quick drive the snot out of it, before you fix it!!

I have never heard of a dead odometer. May be a problem with the control unit that controls the gauges. The memory for the odometer is in that box (Pollack is the name on the box if my memory serves me right). You may actually have a bad control unit. If so, it may be possible that your gauges are actually good.....

Thanks everyone!

Driving the snot out of it came to mind, but I think it still stores the mileage on board. It does have Goodyear tires on it that need to be worn down a little!

Hopefully it's not the control module as that sounds expensive, and hopefully not bad module and gauges.

I bought the repair manual for it, so I guess I'll sit down and have a good read and start tracking things down.

Welcome to our little zoo, Ricky!

Welcome to the Forum and enjoy the ride!

Ricky,

Welcome and you being in Katy/Houston area you will have plenty locals to hang with. Suggestion: stay away from Mullet and Sorousch! They will have you doing mods before you even realize it. (OH, and stay away from Dave, Texas Mongrel, on the track. He has issues keeping it on the track!!!) Welcome and bring it to cars and coffee next month!
