I had a detailed listing of all the GT's that sold back in August on the west coast. since then a few others have been sold at auction. Maybe make one thread if someone is going to keep it updated so that those interested could keep track of sold prices from most recent to past.

Sorry if this has been already posted have been busy with family and business matters.

I wonder if its gauges all work...and its 1/2 shaft bolts have been replaced...and all its fluids have been changed...and if its A/C works...and its tires have been replaced...and if its battery is the original OEM...and if any gaskets have dried out...and...............................

 'Going to my room now...:old:

If you bought it, you'd never have to worry about any of those items!!!

My buddy just spent $12,500.00 on a clutch for his 6500 mile 575m Ferrari. I have no idea what he spends on service but it's not just $150.00 for oil and a filter. His car stickered at $240k and is now worth well under 100k. So what is you point Pockets?

Steve,
Ease up on old Empty!
I thought his post was spot on......:biggrin

Careful Indy, or you'll get a "Forum Award" as well! :lol

Would you like to see a copy of my buddies bill for the clutch on his 575M? I did see it and for a 4 year old car with 6500 miles it was just stupid. 4 575's currently for sale on ebay with only 1 having any bids @55k.
However the point I was attempting to make is all cars need maintenance and at this point everyone knows about half shaft bolts hard tires and that some gauges are dying, or they're just not paying attention. I have read more than 1 thread that some here have participated in, bashing the car over A arms, half shalt bolts, gauges etc and I believe it's pretty lame when one considers how inexpensive it is to own and how much it's gone up in value.

Sorry if I've ruffled any feathers.

This article also, IMO, draws attention to how freaking fragile F cars are. Not a selling point.:frown

My point was, Steve, that the car has S-E-V-E-N MILES ON IT...'has obviously been SITTING since Columbus landed...'not good for the car. DURING ALL THAT TIME were the fluids changed? Were the 'bolts replaced? Has sitting around screwed up the oh-so-anemic gauge circuitry? Has the battery been replaced (for obvious reasons)? Were the tires replaced (for obvious reasons)? HAVE any gaskets dried out, or was the car started regularly? Are the A/C's o-rings dried out, cracked, blah blah making it necessary to go through that whole system?

ONLY THE GAUGE ISSUE and 'bolts apply to the FGT alone...the rest of the items listed apply to a-n-y car.

My POINT was that there are going to be a lot of items that will likely need attention...and those expenses are going to paid in addition to whatever "garage queen" wrapper-price is paid for the car.

Dat's all I was getting at.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeze................pour a Maker's Mark...

SteveA You are right on. Got any snow yet? It rained in LA today, the real first time since April. Forgot what is was like to have a wet road. Best to Mrs. SteveA

"The windshield washer reservoir was also replaced for $529.25" what the heck is this thing made of ?

Not another argument again about low mileage GT's - sighhhhhhh....boring. And when I sell my yellow 21-miler in years from now, for 5 times what I paid...I won't give a damn about this argument. BTW, mine gets new fluids every two years - right down to the fuel and stabilizer.

All I know is that my white one - which I drive, has all sorts of little shit going on, while my NON-DRIVER, is still perfect. They both have the same oil leaks too.
