Red and white car in Houston (not mine). Story has it an older man owner was pulling away from an interesction and was struck by another vehicle then hit a pole. Cracked the frame from what I'm told. Car brought a hundred grand area for salvage. A friend of mine knows him personally. I will try and find out the VIN.

They get rarer every day...but I'm not happy about it. These cars are too cool to keep getting destroyed. Wonder if we'll reach a point where the wrecks stop happening, or at least happen very rarely?
Hopefully that point comes before the number of GTs is in the three -- or even TWO -- digits. :willy
Problem is, the cars are just so damn fun to drive. I suppose as long as they get driven a certain number will get taken out. :bang

OK, From what I've read on the forum, 20% have already been wrecked, that's about 7% of GTs wrecked per year.
My math tells me that Pockets will have the last intact Ford GT in about 11.5 years :banana

Well, if Pockets will be having the last surviving GT, I plan on having the second to last surviving and selling it to pockets before it bites the dust as the "second to last surviving GT" allowing pockets to own the last two surviving GTs on the planet. The sale will of course be at the appropriate premium for such a rare bird. This will allow pocket to finally have one and at last DRIVE one!

I was coming off of an off ramp and the light was green to the left turn I wanted to make..... There was a flatbed perfectly off of my right side making the same left turn (dbl turn lane) when all of a sudden... I hear the screeeeeching of tires.... I look to my right.... truck is fine..... I grip the steering wheel.... I'm in control.... I look to my left and there is an elderly (all right... extremely old) couple sliding through the stop line on the pavement...... it's already too late.... can't stop in time.... can't accelerate as I may brake loose and swing into the truck to my right.... so I decide to let him take my front end... Had already stomped on the breaks and came to a stop 1/3 of the way into the intersection..... to my amaze.... the old.extremely old couples car stops.... about 14 inches from my hood lever.... To say.....????? I completed my turn wondering.... thinking...... would my wife believe that I honestly wasn't f-cking off????? wew hew!!

I'm guessin' they (the extremely old couple) were in a Buick? Glad you escaped. Now go wipe that mess out of the drivers seat before it stains it.
