My guess is they are repainting one car as they did with our program

Different cars. Blue car is in Toronto. Silver car in Chi.

This angle is absolutely fantastic. What a machine.

I do believe the front and roof stripes absolutely tie it to the GT40 GT evolution. The rear, needs something.

I just think it's a "no stripe" kind of car!!!! I think they take away from the "lines". Gonna have to sacrifice "heritage" for aesthetics.

Yeah, and when I asked DBK to photoshop some stripes, you guys scoffed.

They tucked the WW's in much better. I took mine off because the passenger view was diminished.

They are making around 1200 according to the threads on our forum. Very few people will have one.

Ed

PS The silver is a cool color! It almost makes the CF look aluminum! LOL

The new GT is going to difficult to come by. My take is that while it's a bummer not everyone that wants one will get one, I'm still happy they are producing the car at all.

Can you speculate as to why Ford would take that position? I agree, it appears even at a high price-point demand will exceed supply. Are they making these at a loss? Will D.O.T rules change soon? If profitable why wouldn't they just continue to pump them out?

I can understand the limitations on how quickly they can produce them, but not on capping production.

Ford has stated that they will make nowhere near the Ford GT numbers, and the statement has been roughly 1200 vehicles over a 4 year life span, that is about 300 per year. (Whatever the number is, it's going to be small, so even if it's 400 a year including purpose built race cars, it's still a low number.) At 3100 dealerships in the US alone, less than 1 in 10 will even get a car. Add to that that dealers outside the US ("world car") will subtract from the US allocations. You may actually be better off trying to buy a car in Italy where Fords are only seen as Euro econo-boxes...
