You must have been checking into it in preparation on your mentioned desire to move to the Golden State?

Huge public employee base to support. That costs, not that New York doesn't suffer the same fate.

Yes, you r right!

Currently paying $8000/yr to pay for parking in NYC, so CA would less expensive!

Have another $7,000 in leakage (costs I would never have with a home v. an Apt)

So, $15k that could go to pay property taxes, etc...not counting tax benefits

None of my cars are registered in CA but I live here full time... I have friends!

Just hope you don't make any new ones in Soledad, Folsom or San Quentin.

$59.00 last year here in Idaho, includes personal plates.

$36/year in PA + emission exemption if mileage <2,000/year. And yes, we do cling to God and Guns!

$80 here in Washington state - including personalized plates - and no smog check BS.......it does rain a little bit.

I believe it's still something like $75 here (with the p. plates). And the ONLY reason they're that low is because of an initative passed by the voters. Prior to that, tabs for a FGT would have cost more than they do in Cali now.

A little?

Kind of a nebulous term .....isn't it!

That's a deal!! I paid $1200.00 for my registration in AZ 2 months ago on my 5 year old GT. I'm looking forward to getting out of Arizona.

Think I paid maybe $200 in Florida - a state with no income tax to boot !
What is 'leakage' tax?
