Awesome car Soroush and congrats!!!! The r's are getn out of control and especially the 93's. They can range from 50 to 120 depending on miles. I know of some low mile cars over $100...
My choice of mid 80's and early 90's mustangs would be a 85.5 Comp Prep SVO, 86 Gt convert, 87-93 Hiway patrol car, 93R.

I got a friend wth a fox body GT in his garage off Gessner and I 10. The car has a cobra drivetrain. Sitting on jack stands since 02 or 3.

He would probably sell it cuz is about to get hitched.

"It is still on the original Goodyear gatorbacks."

Those would have to go if the new owner intended to drive it.

What a PREMO car!

YUP:) I am doing a new 2011 5.0 motor in my 84 GT350 convert, With a Procharger F1R on it:) It should make 1000rwhp no problem.........The car used to make 800rwhp with a 306 pushrod motor in it... The new 5.0 is really a boost happy motor. Good luck and can't wait to see what you do with it.

Well, I still have my 88 gt fox body, now has 88 k miles. Not perfect, but still quite good. Have it almost back together, just need to change the pinion seal

And well put, as "the cars we grew up with"

Hey BMF, Ive got a 84 gt350 with the factory 302, and your car looks NICE! I really like the spoiler, do you remember where you got it? I cant wait till these cars are bringing in 50k for an original car.

Its off a 93 limited convert. If ya notice my car has SVO/93 Cobra taillights too. Isn't it crazy ford brought back a tail light that hadn't been used in 7 years....

I've still got my 86 Mustang GT Convertible that I bought new. It has about 42K miles on it now. Car was featured in Mustang Monthly in February, 2001. I can't believe I've had it for 25 years now. It is highly modified, but looks stock from the outside except for wheel and tire package. I still enjoy driving it and will probably never sell it. Maybe give it to one of my kids some day when I'm too old to push in a clutch.

I've kept all the stock parts, but can't see ever putting them back on. Why go from over 400 HP back to 210?

the car is a beauty!

And very funny comment about the clutch, I felt the same exact thing when I first sat in the cobra and pushed in the clutch, not having driven on in 10 years I forgot how hard they were.:)

Thanks, soroush. Mine has the Ford Motorsport clutch in it and it takes beastly pedal effort. It is kind of humorous as my 11 GT500 has over 100 more HP and the clutch in that thing is like butter. But I love the old school feel of the 86. Reminds me of that hideous song by Vannila Ice (Ice Ice, Baby?) with words to the effect "cruising along in my 5.0, put the top down so my hair can blow". I've even still got hair!

Love that Cobra, looks like a nice find.

MK2-gt, thanks

torrie, you should get one, its like a time machine we were talking about! I felt like I was 17 when I sat in it :)

I know exactly what you mean, gotta love the old school wipers resting on the windshield and the metal seat belts.
