900 Miles

The area is fantastic but I agree thats getting to busy for any spirited driving. I have gone out 25 or so of my 37 yrs and love it but it has gotten progressively busier and busier. Not always a bad thing if you are with the right group; but when you cant get any decent water for skiing at 6 am cause everyone else has the same idea its a little frustrating.

Glad you had a good time. Come back any time eh!

Thanks again. We had a wonderful time and plan to return perhaps when school is back in session.

That's the best time. We're doing a multi car (probably all 911 Turbos) run down to Oroville likely in September. Maybe we'll see you on the roads.

I will add that in a downpour, a tungsten car is almost impossible to see from the rear in the rain.

Nothing better than going for a drive in our beloved Gt's

Sounds like a great time. Do you have the dates confirmed yet? We have the Kirkland Concours Tour as well as a little tour planned with our 356 group. Maybe we can meet if the dates as well as the stars are aligned.....

That is a good point. I had every available light turned on during this storm. At one point, even had the 4-way flashers going. Would be just fine with me if we never experience these driving conditions again.

I thought 8 hours was not enough at one sitting. 8 days? Now, that is a tour! I'm sure many on this board are drooling over the time you have spent behind the wheel of this most wonderful car. Thank you for taking the time to post to this thread.

BC speed laws...40 km/hr (25 mph) over the posted limit = nasty fine AND 7 DAY VEHICLE IMPOUND... first offense. but I'm sure they would take very good care of a GT while towing and at the impound lot.
Beautiful scenery, if you don't want to boycott, take your Prius.

We were all reminded by one of our BC members of the driving laws prior to departing. Once in BC, the beautiful landscape kept the speed down to about 10 to 15 over posted limits while in the very rural areas. Passing through the many smaller towns, we were all "very good" at keeping the speeds to what was posted.

It was interesting too that a couple of the RCMP's came to our hotel in a little motor cart. They also reviewed to driving laws........They were very courteous and enjoyed looking at the cars.
