This one seems so blatant, though. Feels like "the fix was in". Total bummer.

This kind of bullshit after the Ferrari fiasco in 2016 when that car:
A. Didn’t have the lights working on the side (just like the Ford GT didn’t earlier in the race — and was penalized for it)
B. Didn’t stop like it was supposed to because of the light issue, essentially ignoring a stop-and-go order

Yet that car still took second, denying a 1-2-3 Ford GT finish just like 1966.

This is just one example I’m aware of because I attended that year and watched it all happen live. Can only imagine the amount of bullshit that’s taken place that I don’t have first-person knowledge of.

The Europeans have been doing whatever they can to deny U.S. race wins for decades, so I’m not surprised.

But I’m still pissed off.

I suspect they’re all angry on that side of the Atlantic because of the upcoming Ford versus Ferrari movie, which looks like it could be a very well made story of how the U.S. trounced a famous European brand.

Socialist Racing at it's Best! I'm surprised they even allow someone to actually win. Everyone gets a participation trophy! Let them race what they brought and the outcome would be much different!

That seems like some obvious mistakes. I'd like to hear if theres a rebuttal.

Ugh, this is nauseating... Wouldn’t weight and density measurements be a more accurate way to measure fuel quantity? Measuring on volume alone doesn’t account for thermal expansion. 🧐

My Friend Ben Keating has accepted the decision and has taken all responsibility off his team as I knew he would. He is a Class Act in every way as a business man, family man as well as a team owner and racer! I REPEAT, I’ve known him many years and believe that to the Ford GT Nation he is a winner and always will be! He has shown just what the Ford GT Is capable of doing without a lot of restrictions. Ben Will Be Back Soon And Make Us Even More Proud!

Gentlemen,

Sitting outdoors having dinner in Paris with DBK, Peggy, Dave & Roz celebrating #85’s win when Dave got the news that #68 had been disqualified. My first comment was “knowing race officials made 3 very questionable attempts to keep Keating from winning wouldn’t it be something if they did it post race”. And that’s exactly what they did.

Le Mans has a great history, and it use to be a great race that proved something about the cars racing there. But it honestly doesn’t anymore. The best and fastest cars have ballast weight added and horsepower lowered until it's the equal of the worst cars. Le Mans no longer drives automobile innovation, nor does it highlight superior design. With a differen't set of BOP rules for every team instead of one set of rules for every team there are endless ways for favoritism. This didn’t just strip this years GT victory for me, it’s stripped this year's Le Mans itself of any meaning. I’m really depressed about it. Ford Motor Company is finished at Le Mans and perhaps I am too.

Jean Todt (born 25 February 1946) is a former rally co-pilot who went on to become Peugeot Talbot Sport's Director and then the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team principal, before being appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ferrari from 2004 to 2008.

In October 2009, he was elected President of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA)[1], a position to which he was re-elected in December 2013 and December 2017.

Under his leadership, Peugeot won 4 World Rally Championship titles (drivers and manufacturers), won the Paris-Dakar Rally 4 times, and twice won the Le Mans 24 Hours. During his time in charge, Ferrari won 14 Formula One World Championship titles (drivers and manufacturers). It is also under his leadership that Michael Schumacher won five consecutive World Drivers' Championships, from 2000 to 2004 and obtained 72 of his 91 victories.

Hey, we're in their backyard so why should they let an American car win? It's sad they have to win by disqualifying the fastest car & drivers.

If they did fudge something and it gets out, I imagine alot of teams pull out.
