What would you say is the consensus on average rwhp on pre 2020 GTs?

I also feel it is ridiculous customers have gotten their new 2020 GT's without the exact specs on them. Just like DBK said, the delivery specialists are GREAT and they can only say/do what they can with what they are given.

finally an article about the changes.

It has larger ducting to feed 50% more cool air to the turbo intercoolers, allowing it to run at peak performance for longer periods, revised engine calibration, mechanical upgrades like gallery-cooled pistons and higher energy ignition coils, and Ford has also made the previously optional titanium Akropovic exhaust standard, reducing weight, increasing airflow, and providing a fantastic exhaust note. These changes serve to make an additional 13hp, raising the total to 660hp. More importantly though, it makes a broader torque curve to make that power more accessible throughout the rev range.

I’m glad Ford continues to improve the GT even though the end of production is on the horizon. I’m looking forward to seeing what the last year brings.

This was a huge factor in my decision making of my order. I was offered the
Gulf Livery edition, but when asked for details and visuals, that was proprietary info.
Like going on a blind date.

Any idea what the paint weighs? The bare carbon is super cool, so even if there is zero weight savings it won’t matter to the buyers. Just wondering...

I don't think that it saves weight as the carbon is clear coated but I might be wrong.

To really save weight, you should have a carbon finish like koenigsegg with the KNC (you can read about it here)

I'm guessing Ford will be providing additional upgrades in an attempt to keep the C8 from beating it on the track. It's going to be embarrassing for Ford when Road & Track post an article stating a 125,000 Z06 is faster than a 550,000 GT.
I'm a Ford guy and to me the GT looks much better than the C8, although I'm sure many disagree. Fact is, Ford makes dumb business decisions. -not racing IMSA
-not building an affordable car to rival the Corvette, the Mustang is a great car but does not compare to the Corvette. I've owned 2 GT 350's and loved them both. 1st one, GT 350, AC failed within 6 months, started consuming oil around 5,000 miles. Sold it and bought a 350R. Motor replaced within 3,000 miles due to oil consumption. Ac replaced within 2 weeks of motor being replaced.
-if Ford could make a reliable GT for 150,000, they could sale everyone they could produce, at triple the profit of an f150.
There's a good reason why Fords stock is where it is. Hoping things change going forward.

Yawn. The “Ford is going to be embarrassed” schtick. If you understood what the GT was really about, you wouldn’t post such nonsense.

Well I guess you have missed the point of the NGT, and it has ZERO to do with the C8.

I'm a Ford guy

Blasting through the Texas Hill Country today with 4 other GTs and passing cars in a wholesale fashion I thought this car really needs another 13HP - not. Don’t get me wrong I’d take the extra HP but I won’t miss it on my 2019.

I find it very hard to believe that “a Ford guy” doesn’t understand and appreciate the significance of a Ford GT homologation car, especially one with such a rich history. So many poseurs out there.

Technology is gonna catch up to every car made. Are you surprised that some of the new generation of cars are gonna be faster than the NGT? Of course they will. Just look at almost every other hypercar made a few years ago, new cars have come that are faster on a track GT2RS...Vette ZR1...Aventador SVJ are faster than even La Ferrari ..918 and P1. In the end speed is only one very small factor on how to determine a cars value. After spending a lot of money on my NGT its not easy to say this, but its true place in history and ultimate value in the future "when you go on Ebay and there are 8 for sale" only time will tell. In any case I doubt many, if any NGT owners are gonna trade there cars for a new vette Z06 or ZR1 no matter how fast they end up being, just like owners of an F40 wouldnt trade their car for anything faster
