2019 heritage

A stripe would be a major PIA to paint if it’s masked and sprayed.

You are right about the missing pinstripe.
Also I noticed that the radius on the curve on the orange on the front seems a lot different than that of the original GT40 and the 2006 Heritage

Well - Ford I beat you to it.

This is how my all Le Mans blue 2017 looked 4 hours after it was rolled out of the delivery truck.

Your rendition is superb Jason. The “GT” emblem ahead of the wheel well looks fabulous.

I would take one, please send asap :driving:

Bravo once again to Ford, and congratulations to those of you getting one of these Heritage stunners. I wish I was in your shoes! Remarkable. Personally, I think it is perfection, and I do like the modernized look of the livery on this car. The perfect blend of familiar classic and modern/futuristic, in keeping with the rest of the NGT. But yes, Jason’s version is also fantastic. :thumbsup

The partnership with Gulf Oil Lubricants raises an interesting possibility for next year’s race livery.

It says in your post # 195 the 2020 Heritage will be the same color combo with the #6 ... :biggrin

What can I say, I have a highly developed 6th sense.

Those roundels would look great with a set of carbon fiber wheels.

Exactly!

The 2019 Gulf Heritage was out at Exotics on Cannery Row. Thankfully they parked me, Hennessey's FGT, and the Gulf demo behind the ropes in the Michelin display. What a mob scene driving into the show! I got to meet a couple of Gulf Oil execs. I like the softer lighter blue of this version. Designers decided not to use a black border stripe. Looks really nice in my opinion.

If you choose the carbon fiber roundel option you will also get the “9” ghosted on the inner door panel. If you choose no roundel then no number 9 on the inside. Also they are definitely not doing a white roundel or pinstripes.

Congrats!you beat them to it and it looks better than Fords. The Gulf spec needs the stripe imo.

It would be nice to see a “FORD” or “GT” logo on lower rear facia in front of rear tires. Like the 2018 Heritage.

Not 100% sure but I’m thinking they might be. You either opt for the carbon roundels with the white number or white roundel with black number

I spoke with Jim Owens at Laguna. Unless I misunderstood what he was saying, the car will be available with cf roundels or without roundels. Jim said that they would offer white roundels for the heritage cars ordered without cf roundels; in the event that the owner wanted to apply white roundels.thumbnail (1).jpg

... The solution was to eleminate two of the colors. The genius of the exposed CF roundels instead of white and making the #9 blue instead of black is that only two colors need to be painted. This new Heritage without the black stripes only requires two colors which will certainly speed things up and allow more Heritage cars to be built than would otherwise be possible. Chip

Could the pinstripe be unpainted CF like the roundels?

....For the first time, an optional package provides exposed carbon fiber accents for both the interior and exterior of the Ford GT Heritage Edition. For 2019, the package features the No. 9 graphics on the hood and doors, as well as a ghosted image on the interior door panels. For 2020, No. 6 honors the same car that went on to win Le Mans in 1969 with a different number.....

Here are the 2017-2020 Heritage cars. They all won LM.

Looks really good. The side stripe/pin stripe should be an option IMHO. Also that stripe is a very dark blue not black on the original car. Maybe an option to have the wheels spokes painted orange as well to tie into 1968/69.
Personally the car needs the pin stripe.
