Been keeping an eye out for that one too Xcentric.

Hoping it keeps moving east

Monica and I just went through North Texas and Oklahoma on our way out. Had thunderstorms and some pretty heavy rain in foggy conditions. Be careful if you are coming that way...
Also, there is construction about 20 miles before Oklahoma city on the 40. We made it through pretty well, but it may be heavy on a weekday peak traffic time. Down to one lane for each direction.
See you all in a couple days!

Me planning on leaving Miramar Beach, FL Tuesday a month ago...Tropical Storm/Huriicane "Michael" coming up the pipe...coincidence???

Wonder which Michael could cause more damage?? Travel safe, sad I can't be there to cheer them on with the GT Nation. Top steps on Race Day Ford GT!

Hey chip any idea on truck and trailer parking at the hotel. It looks kind of tight there on the map.

does not look good, it is overcast here now. Of course a race in the rain is a lot more challenging and more interesting to watch than one in sunny dry conditions. I was up at road atlanta yesterday running some laps and the petite setup was going gangbusters

I have talked to the hotel and they told me that there is parking for truck with trailers in the back but they will have to mark it off for us.

Heard Hurricane Michael would be a Cat 2 when it makes landfall. By the time it gets to Atlanta it will probably just be a little rainy.

It will be a tropical storm over Atlanta on Thursday, but race day should be ok....

Should be cleared up by race day. Can''t be worse then the first GT race Mud everywhere and a river running through the tent!

What a great setup! Sure wish I could have joined!
To blue bird weather and a blue oval victory!

I can’t tell you how many times a hurricane has barreled down on us, then hooks east by 80 miles and we don’t even see a drop of rain... I’m betting the impending cold front will come just in time and keep us dry!

Kevin .. this is good news for me...!! I will leave on my drive from Michigan before dawn on Thursday .
It will be raining in the AM in Georgia but clear up by the Afternoon. That is when I will enter Georgia on I-75 and head to the hotel..

I think we are good for Thursday! Looks like rainfall chances are dropping.

Rainfall accumulation keeps falling and the number of hours or rain keeps falling as well. Plus we're driving north away from the weather.
