2017 Raptor ?? DONE

Consider buy a new Raptor and selling Matt my 2013 Platinum. Any ideas on pro or con appreciated as I love the Platinum and only have 42K miles. Will Ford use Friends and family on these and is the 3.5 the only engine option? maybe someone can talk me out of this.

If Donna can't do it, Why should we try? These types of vehicles don't get the discounts.

I'm pretty sure you can use Fords X plan to buy one. Fixed price w/ discount. Requires ordering and waiting and a willing dealer but it usually represents a new allotment.

Check the fine print. Ford sends me discount flyers all the time and sporty models (raptor, Shelby, gt) are excluded from the plans.

Raptor (or any other "SVT" product) has never been available via X plan. I tried in 2014, doubt that has changed.

Do it Gary! Great trucks. We still have our "old one", but have a friend that made the jump to the new one, has had nothing but good things to say about it.

Hard to find new Raptors at MSRP. Incredible truck and well worth the cost.

As others have stated here, the Raptor is excluded from A/X/Z plan discounts. Our Global Director just got his Raptor, and he loves it as much as his GT350. So I'm sure you'd be more than happy with it.

Good luck with the decision!

It will be the best truck you have ever had. Rides better than a new Cadillac. Rock stable at 100+mph Has a big tank so you can get close to 500 miles. And you already know how good it looks. And if you look around you can get one at MSRP. I like them so much I have two!!!lol. One Supercrew, and one Supercab. And still have my old 2013 Raptor.

Done

Thanks to Andy I pulled trigger and mission accomplished. Can't wait to get some seat time

Gentlemen,

I don't have a Raptor but I've got a new aluminum Fx4 F-150 and there is only one downside to the new aluminum trucks for off-roading. I crunched the bottom of the front passenger door on a rock while on a hunting trip. It looked like $1000 worth of damage tops and it would have been if the door was steel. But the aluminum door couldn't be repaired and had to be replaced. Almost $3000 by the time it was all done. :willy

I love the was my F-150 drives and I'll never go back to steel trucks but I'm much more careful with it off road now. All the best.

Great color. Love the blue.

Very nice truck!

Way to go Gary. Great truck and color. Congrats buddy. Can't wait to see it.

Congrats Gary and Donna! Enjoy it in good health. See you in SLC.

I have had mine for a few months and about 20,000 miles. The thing rides awesome. I painted the fenders and tailgate AG.
