2011 Miami Top Gun Run?

I have been searching some time now for the dates of the spring 2011 Miami Top Gun Run unfortunately without any luck. :thumbsdow Does anyone have a contact or information on this years spring event? I need to set up our GT Guy's annual event and I don't want to overlap with the Top Gun Run cause Mellow Yellow is begging to see how the two new hair dryers will do in the mile:banana Any help would be greatly appreciated:cheers
 
Couldn't find anything on their site. I know the owner of the runway was really pissed off about the last Exotics Rally event there, but I don't know if that ended up killing everyone's events. Last year it was March 14th.

Yea I found that as well and our GT Guys event has been that same weekend every year so this is my dilemma. I have to get the GT Guys event set in stone real soon so that we can get working on the recruiting of local owners.
 
So far there isn't one. There is some county to county infighting that is hosing this up for all of us.

I talked to Ivan about this last week and it looks that way unfortunately. We need an east coast mile event badly.

I sure wish the guys at Oscoda would allow us to use their facility for a full on event. It's such a perfect runway. They just aren't interested despite the airports extremely limited use.

Here is the response that came in today:

Hello John,


Thank you for your inquiery. There is a problem with zoning now and until the issue is corrected, no one can use the airport for this use. We hope to have something by the summer but even that is not certain.


As soon as we hear something we will let you know. Thank you again for your interest and for your support.
