Red Bull.

I love my 2009 Taurus, I think I'll like the 2010 even better. Ford's market share is up according to todays WSJ. :thumbsup

I bet the whole project gets killed for financial reasons just like GM just killed its performance products. I hope not...

can i bribe you with a makers for your spot in line?

Underhood, however, things begin to change. Ford's installed a twin-turbocharged, direct-injection 3.5-liter V-6 from its Ecoboost engine range. Although its rating of 365 hp is hardly anything to sneeze at (that's a 50-hp advantage over the 2010 Mustang GT's V-8), it's a 10-hp boost over similar engines installed in the Lincoln MKS

0% chance of that occurring. The 3.5l TT engine is at the core of fords product plan, not an additional program. This car will likely get 30 mpg on the freeway, so it's not a peripheral distraction.

Already ordered mine. Ingot Silver, 20"s, SYNC etc.

I spoke with Dr. Frank before heading to the Chicago Autoshow yesterday. He told me I had to check out the RED 2010 Taurus SHO on display. He was spot on - It's a great looking car (even in base form) that's going to help Ford resurrect itself. :thumbsup

I sure hope you are right. Things are getting crazier every week it seems in Detroit with this whole bailout thing. I'm in for an all black on black one!

thanks! so the taurus is the size of a 7 series, or a little smaller than the s class.

A 7 has a wheelbase of 120 or 125" is tad larger than a Taurus's 113. I don't think the interior space is in the same class. Width is also smaller. If course they aren't priced anywhere close and the Ford should retain better resale value.

Considering the 2009 AWD Taurus gets 24 mpg hwy on the EPA cycle....I would be shocked to see better than that out of a heavier, more powerful SHO, Direct Injection or not. Even if it has a Corvette like stratospheric 6th gear, I would say 25-26 mpg tops.

They said that the EcoBoost V6's are supposed to have an improvement of 20-30% in fuel efficiency over the regular 3.5L V6. So it should be in the ballpark of 30 mpg. We'll see.
