2006 Midnight Blue, No Stripes Any interest?

Man, that's even worse! At least it's not Hillary pole dancing. And don't put one up of her just because I was fool enough to mention it.

how about one with "special skills"?

:wink

special skills?

I'm afraid to ask...

special skills...

The thought of Hilary with "special skills" is enough to turn one's stomach.

Thanks to everyone for the warm reception. Thanks to Shelby for all the times I badgered him with questions about cars he was selling or had already sold. And thanksTim, but especially his son Garrett who not only hung around to help us with the car when my son and I picked it up, but then waited for my wife to join us since my son is only 15 and doesn't have a license to drive the wagon back to the hotel to pick up my other two kids, ("oops Dad, no license but a learners, but take me with you to see the other cars they have!").
By the way, Tim's pix, as good as they are, definitely DON'T do the car justice. I may still take the side stripes off, but this car looks absolutley wicked in person, (think Shannon Elizabeth, or for guys my age, Bo Derek in her prime.) Everywhere we stopped on the 360 mile drive home, people either asked about it and took pix, or just took pix. I had one older guy, probably 75ish, come up and tell me how he had a '68 Mustang Super Cobra Jet, and how he was a Ford guy forever, and how glad he was to see a Ford product like this. The car is a real pussycat, that is until you hit the loud pedal.

Some observations about the car. One, if you keep your foot out of it, it really does get 20+ MPG on the highway. My wife avg'd over 22 MPG @ 80ish in the Taurus X wagon. and I got over 20 MPG following her, even with a few run ups after rest stops and toll booths. Two, everything the various auto reviewers said positive about the car is true. It is a docile beast, with absolutely unGoldly power, yet it is so linear, that if you don't know it, your doing 2X the posted speed and the law is on you while you think you're doing 60. The handling is a joy, although Illinois roads are for $h!t compared to IND and Ohio (I-80). You CAN really feel the difference in road surface quality. The tranny is a dream, even better than the 6 spd in my M3 and M5. But the sound; especially because Tim put the aftermarket exhaust, it sounds like no Ford I've ever driven. It is loud, but absolutely intoxicating.
Now for humourus observations from the kids.
Daughter: Where are the cupholders? And the moon roof?
Older son: No cruise? Where is the MP3 hook up?
Younger son: NO DVD?

Congrats...need to be added as owner not spectator...he paid a lot of money for that change of title. Enjoy

change from spectator to owner

Sorry, very hard to make this change from my Blackberry. I'm on vacation in Europe. Will make the adjustment when I return on June 9th.However, if you become a $upporting member the change to owner is automatic. In fact every owner that has benifited from this site should $upport DBK!Cheers,Bony from Bruges

+1. The forum played a role in making his ownership possible. I am glad there was a positive ending to your search. Enjoy the ride!! :thumbsup

Welcome to the owners circle djs. Hope to see you at Rally III.

Tim- I am NOT selling mine just because yours is gone!

Thanks, hope to be there too.
Took my neighbor out in it this afternoon, 27 yr old self made millionaire who makes auto tuning software. He owns an '04 ZO6 and was blown away by the acceleration, and the looks by the various babes we drove by. "Too bad you're married," he says. Can't win 'em all.:bored

Welcome to the owners circle djs. Hope to see you at Rally III.

Tim- I am NOT selling mine just because yours is gone!

I guess I will just have to buy another blue one.
