Just a reminder that this car has no electronannies! BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

Everyone be careful in the wet (and dry for that matter). But I have to say that I am glad that Ford did not include traction control on this car. It keeps it a complete driver's car. I have never heard of anyone saying that they need TC on their GT. But I have never driven it. What are your thoughts on the TC?

my honest opinion
traction control would be a major asset to this vehicle
not saying i would always use it, but it would be nice to know its there if needed

I think that a switchable TC (as in my NSX) would be nice. I've been sideways more than once :eek ... It's difficult to estimate how many GT's would of been saved with this feature. I just have to remember to use my right foot carefully.:willy

Traction control

Has anybody looked into the RaceLogic traction control system?

Never had one with traction control, but . . .

The 30 year bug bit, as that's how long it's been since my last accident. Finishing up a 70 mile errands run last Friday, the traction went away at normal speed and acceleration: only difference, it was about 15 degrees air temp. Other car avoidance was my #1 concern at the time. The below link should show a handful of the results, along with other odds and ends. My concern here is using the local dealer, who feels quite confident in the repairs, or another more uniquely qualified shop to handle repairs. All thoughts welcome on this one. And let me know if the link doesn't work, I'm just getting going at this.

Thanks to all that responded: all advice will be incorporated into my decision.

Sorry to see that. My car has tried to do that to me a couple of times in FL now that the temp is dipping down below 50. Look at it this way, now is the time to get a Genaddi custom paint and a nice set of rims courtesy of your insurance company...:thumbsup

Sorry to see you're baby got messed up. But happy to hear you're OK !! I'd have the car shipped to Saleen for repairs. May cost more but it will be done right.

I agree with sending it to Saleen. I guess the airbags didn't deploy? Glad it wasn't worse but that is still heart rendering... :ugh

No air bags, but my head did bounce off the hard foam uptop once. Another 6'4"'r or so. As I know pretty much nothing about Saleen, except from the web sites, do they do the work of that type in MI and CA? I am also considering the GTGuy group.

Since Saleen in Michigan was the builder, I think I would start there.

First off, at the risk of stating the obvious, THAT STINKS. 'Sucks BIG TIME. Period.
But, the GOOD news is: THIS LOOKS REAL "FIXABLE". I don't see squat in the pics that looks even CLOSE to this being a "real big deal" repairs wise.
If you'd like to be SUPER FUSSY about the repairs, send it to Saleen & let THEM do the work. THEY put it together in the 1st place!
'Regardless, GET HER FIXED AND GET BACK IN THE 'SEAT!!!!

I would love to hear more info on this product. I have never heard of it. Any details would be appreciated.

They control the spark and fuel injectors. However, since the GT has coil on plugs and two injectors per cylinder, it will need custom modifications if it will work at all.

I know when it was mentioned before (early on), there seemed to be a disproportionate number of black. Maybe people don't see them (low and dark)?

Saleen is doing collision repair work on the GT and obviously know the car better than anyone. I would send the car to them. PD
