1-2 shift grind...

Have had multiple F and L cars, very common practice for mechanics to tell their clients to skip 2nd till the gearbox is warmed up. Been that way for many years.

I've had the same experience with all of my F and L cars. Double clutching works but I find going from 1st to 3rd until the car warms up is the best solution. My car is an '06 and I'm actually very pleased with how well the GT shifts.

How is your car on the 1 - 2 shift.

Did your car initially have the shift issue and did the clutch changes make any differences?

Hey guys, just got my GT, and it is one hell of a car. I did notice an annoying characteristic that happened to me 3 times today. A slight grind in shifting from 1-2. Is there a fix for this? It only happened a few times throughout the day, but I am concerned that the synchros may be in need of attention. Any thoughts?

I had same problem on my '05 black GT. Things r better when engine gets its normal working temp. Just calculate the right RPM when going from 1st to 2nd...

My personal preference is at WOT 7000rpm on the 1-2 :biggrin
