UPDATE: The prototype lithium batteries are still working fine and I've refined the firmware and added some extra features to the app. However, production of additional porotypes is on hold as some of the integrated circuits I use are still on backorder due to COVID related supply shortages.

No worries Nattee. I'll keep hunting for a source and will let you know if I find a tach or a speedo. In the meantime, does any forum member have a used, broken speedo they want to sell? I'd like to take a crack at diagnosing and researching an effective repair solution.

UPDATE: I talked to Palo Alto Speedometer as suggested by member Specracer and no joy. Unfortunately they specialize in vintage gauges (cars built be fore the mid '90s) and have no experience with e Ford GT gauges. Also, the OEM speedometer I thought I bought from ebay vendor Lascoautoparts...

Well, the ebay vendor (Lascoautoparts) from whom I purchased the OEM speedometer just informed me they "don't have one and can't find one". So back to square one.

I'm curious. Since the SpeedHut Speedometer is "plug-n-play" (according to their website), is it possible to transfer the "innards" of a Speedhut gauge to the shell of an OEM gauge?

UPDATE: I checked with Tasca Ford and unfortunately they do not have any in stock and had no idea about availability. Is Ford no longer manufacturing this part? What recourse do we have if we want an OEM (not SpeedHut) Tach or Speedo?

Ok, another update. At an indicated 20.8% capacity and a measured 13.11V at the terminals, the car cranked fine! However, mindful of GT@50's note, I don't think I'll go any lower, though I'm confident the car would crank at lower states of charge. Next step is to build a couple more prototypes...
