    Race Ramps

Thank you both. Yes, I am considering the extra wide RR mentioned above but appreciate the option of using the stock ramps with extensions. Extra wide RR is attractive given that the rear tire section width is 12.4".

    Race Ramps

Well, have my Forward 4 poster in place and it's the bomb. Problem is the stock ramps. The angle of approach is far too high coming into contact with the splitter. The Ford is factory height and when I use the Race Ramp calculation to determine angle of approach, it appears I need a ramp with...

    Using lift

Yes, appreciate the input. Another thing learned from plane owners here is that they'll often taxi with brakes lightly applied to dispel water from brake pads and rotors.

    Using lift

Thanks for your replies. I was concerned about stuck e-brakes but guess this is a problem with prolonged storage/wet discs which doesn't apply to me. I'll feel better with the brake applied. This forum rocks!

    Using lift

Had a Forward 4 post lift installed earlier this week. I'd like to put the Ford up top and this is my question to those of you with lifts. Previously, I'd use chocks at the wheels leaving the emergency brake off. Is it safe to do the same or would all recommend to use the e-brake with the car...

    4 Post Lifts

Here's an update to my questions regarding which 4-post lift to choose. Thanks everyone for your assistance in helping me. Proximity to distributor and installation, ALI certification, and service should any problems arise were factors that I felt important. Searched around and lo and behold...

    4 Post Lifts

Ok, seems like Bendpak is pretty popular with the addition of ramps, especially with lower than stock height cars. As Specracer mentioned, brands carried by nearby distributors and installation are strong factors to consider. Again, appreciate everyone's helpful comments.

    4 Post Lifts

Thanks for the input everyone. Could someone comment on the ease of using a Bendpak HD9WX, i.e. ease of running a GT up on the ramps? Also, anybody have any experience with a Direct Lift PP9 Plus?

    4 Post Lifts

Okay, for those of you with garage lifts, I need your recommendations. I've installed a split and have new garage doors, high rise rails and Liftmaster 8500's planned for early November. Would like to install a 4 post lift in a middle bay and have combed the topic here already. Dimensions are...

    Dry Sump and Priming

Thanks. I'll prime less based on the above. BTW, need a good Ford tech in the mid-south, Nashville area?

    Dry Sump and Priming

Ok, appreciate everyone's reply. More specifically, do I need to prime the system if the car is started every 10 days 2 weeks. Always prime after oil changes or if sitting for weeks to months. Also, understand nothing trumps getting the car running for an extended period during winter months.

    Dry Sump and Priming

During winter months, I warm up the GT and early 911 Turbos to operating temperatures every 10 days 2 weeks. I prime the Ford as directed prior to start up, figuring the only drawback is starter wear. What's the approach others use during the winter period?

    Coolant Change

Appreciate Xcentric's and Kendal's responses. Another example of knowledgable individual's who freely give information. Makes this forum special.

    Coolant Change

Was attempting to change the coolant yesterday in my 06 GT using the Airlift system. Compressor 120-150 psi, hooked up the Airlift system giving me a tight seal on the intercooler degas bottle but was unable to pull coolant despite having good vacuum. Left the Airlift in place thinking it was...

So For Those Who Have Bought GTs Recently

I'd like to learn of an independent or Ford tech in the Nashville, TN area who knows these cars. There's a few 2005-06 GT's in this area but I've been unsuccessful in finding someone knowledgeable. Looking for someone to do fluid changes and half shaft bolts, nothing major. GTinTN, check your pm's.

    An Oldie but a goody.

Appreciate making us aware of this advert. I received a copy of the magazine with this and it presently is being framed for the garage. Ken Miles is on the left, and is is that Phil Remington as well? Trying to find a Ford tech trained for the GT in the Nashville/midSouth area; anyone know of one?

Ford GT - Note of Appreciation

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and suggestions regarding upkeep of the Ford. Color correction has been done, working on the Xpel. Yes to the appreciation for the Porsche but looking forward to seeing what this GT is all about. The 94' 3.6 single turbo is nice and with little lag, but that...

Ford GT - Note of Appreciation

Well, I'm not certain this is the appropriate subforum, however I'd like to ensure all read this. I've a long history of association with air-cooled 911s, know them well and have always appreciated the iconic beauty and racing history of these cars. Same goes for the Ford GT40 and the second...

    Desneux Motorsports, Peculiar, MO.

Thank you for the multiple replies. Appreciate everyone's perspective and yes, a PPI is essential. With that in mind, is there someone you would recommend in the midwest who could do this? Rich/GT Guys is in Michigan; is there someone closer? Great forum members btw. Jeff

Does anyone have experience or knowledge of Desneux Motorsports? They’ve several GTs and I’d like to know how reputable a dealer they are. Searching for a silver, tungsten or black car with options. Leads appreciated. Know of those at Elite and Rosen’s. Thanks again.
