Heat Gun & Vinyl Side Stripes.... Help!

. Many, or some may not agree, but I think the "Ford GT" looks naked without the stripes. I would not agree with that removal for my car. I like it much better with the full stripes. Just one man's opinion.

    How to remove tree wax?

. tree sap can get real ugly. clear tree sap, in the sun for a few hours, will turn to a dark brown/black spot, very difficult to remove. In some and many cases, the Turtle stuff won't touch it. The only answer is a nearly 100% alcohol sap remover. But you need to be careful. On dark...

I've got a question about Exhaust systems

I bought my Borla "Ford Racing" muffler system from a member here. I think his name was Teddy, not sure. But, none the less, it has many attributes. It's a Ford Racing item, (the script and all) high quality, and the best looking tips, imo, on the market. But, if you want loud, well, then...

    Allocation on a 2007 Shelby GT 500

Seems like I have read, and re-read this many times. The NZ, the F360, the F430, the ZO6, the new Z06, the Ford GT, the Mustang GT, the Shelby GT, and so on. If you want to be the first on the block, what the heck is the difference, but if you want a good buy, like most said here, wait, they...

I am ready for a pulley but....

Hi everetto, I'll be very interested on how your install on KB setup goes. I'm assuming by now you've reviewed the "install" sheets in the kit. Are they well done? I'm about to buy the KB kit myself. It's seems like a fairly straight forward install, but appears it will certainly take a few...

GT exhaust, what to do with it?

Does anyone have a good idea what to do with a used GT exhaust? Needless to say, many are removed for after market, like me, but seems wasteful to throw it in the trash. Looks like new, guess it should with 600 miles.

List of tips for new owners- did I miss anything?

One brief add to Jay's advise: ]1. Never "thrash" (drive hard) on a cold engine. Always wait until the water temperature is >160 F (in other word, approaches equalibrium). The moving components within the engine expand at different rates and therefore their proper clearances aren't established...

    cracked windshield

The shop manual says the front hood, front inner fenders, headlights, and fenders must all come off before starting on the windshield. Obviously not the "do it in your driveway" type of job.

    5W-50 Full Synthetic Oil Recommendation

I just found a good deal on ebay for Castrol 5w-50 full synthetic, bought 5 cases. It came out to $2.50 per quart including delivery. It's the same oil I use in my other cars. Been very satisfied with it. So check ebay. Once in awhile, there are some good deals on oil there.

    Ford Racing SS installed

Hi Shadow, Sounds like a great product(s). I know this would only be an educated guess, but how much additional "strength or force", probably by what percentage increase, is required to shift the car as compared to stock? Thanks,

    Synthetic oil shelve life

Synthetic oil shelf life Here’s an interesting question that I’ve never thought to ask. I have an opportunity to buy a fairly large quanity of synthetic oil (good brand-should be good for a varity of my cars including the GT) at a very good price. As long as the oil remains sealed in its...

Door closing issues / solved ?

I've noticed the same thing. I always put the window down before I close the door. I'm sure it's the tight seal. That's a good thing :wink

Ah Gorgeous Fall Drive in NYC & Neutral Gear Rollover

Hi Fubar! I took mine out yesterday as well. I had a hard time turning it back towards the home garage. Was a great time and a fun drive! But watch out for those chipped, modifed and tuned 996 Twin Turbos! :wink Just kidding you of course! My TT is highly modifed, but I've never had it...
