I noticed yesterday my doors on both sides close better when the windows were down....and required the old hard tug to close with windows up.

My local physicist said the pressure from the airtight seal inside car was buffeting the doors; and did this not happen with at least one window down

Or:

Windows full up flex door / rigidity which makes striker contact off.

I've noticed the same thing. I always put the window down before I close the door.

I'm sure it's the tight seal. That's a good thing :wink

Tight seal. Roll the window up at speed and here the seal form. This is one of the tightest cars I've ever driven. Even tighter than an old floating Volkwagen. Even tighter than Bouncy's straps.

I remember these tight discussions when I was in my 20's. Just kidding!

Actually you will also notice that the internal door release to be easier to operate when the windows are down slightly.
