Other than the Oil etc..... Check your Oil Pump belt from under the car - look for cracks - dry rot.

Can you still buy the "Racing Headers" from Ford ? I put a set on mine with the stock muffler and the sound is fantastic -everyone knows you are coming but no "Drone" at any speed! My Cats fell off during the install ---- OOOOps.

I had very good luck with Autometer replacements.

Installed my Kit last spring - No problems after 60 + starts.

I installed mine about 45 starts ago - no problems . Knock on Wood. Had a Temp. Gauge failure prior to the installation.

I installed the replacement Temp. Gauge and it works well. Many thank to Brett at Autometer for standing behind their product. This proves there are still a few "Good Guys' out there.

I've run thru the usual suspects - Checked the output of the Electronic Temp. Sender and found its K Ohm output within range. (cold -160.3 no heat --1.1 at apx 200*). Using Murphy's law I replaced the ETS anyway, with a new Ford unit. ---- same result , No Gauge reading. I'm open for...

Good to know Guys. Brett from Autometer , has graciously sent a replacement. I plan on installation next week. Anyone know someone who can test an OE Ford temp Gauge? Autometer is not allowed.
