+1 I spoke to one of my friends who is a Chevy dealer. No dice for MSRP and I'm not interested at anything higher.

If you are thinking of selling this would probably be a very good time while low mileage used ones are still going for significantly over MSRP. I think once the supply increases and the V10s and roadsters hit the market the "plain" R8 will depreciate a bit. Just my $.02

If you're not using Holochrome fasteners you should. They're not a lot more and hold up almost as well as stainless steel. Any other black fasteners I've ever used rust after a while even if they are not exposed to salt.

Unless you've got awesome connections at a Nissan dealership, it is highly unlikely you will ever see a V-spec at anything remotely close to MSRP. But if you can get past the looks the performance should be awesome.
