I spaced my frame out on day one in order to improve cooling and allow the use of a plastic plate frame. So far with 2600 miles and one track day, no problems.

I would have preferred GTX. The Ford GT re-engineered for our times. Genaddi Design uses GTX-1 for its conversions

Last Lambo I owned was a Countach but from what I read the LP640 is the way to go. Audi has done a lot for quality control so I would expect reliability to be decent. But the Porsche Turbo is something you can take to work every day and sit in traffic without being hassled. Not sure the same can...
