Ford GT Forum 200 mph Club & Standing Mile Results

While he has been over 200 for more times than he can remember in road racing, this weekend my friend Richard Hille went a little over 200 in a GT for the first time.....if you consider 229.7mph a little. :eek :biggrin Thus I am taking the liberty of asking that you add TallCarGuy to the GT...

We have encountered a huge setback

Just saw this post as I don't check in as much as I used to. Summer and I both have your Dad and your family in our hearts and prayers during his recovery. Your Dad is the epitome of the term gentleman and we both are better for getting to know him. Please keep us updated.

FOR SALE: 2005 Black No Stripe Heffner TT.......5,875 miles

Hey Randy, I would actually love to hit up NoCal for the Rally however my ability to get away during the week is virtually impossible in the fall, which is why I have never made a Rally. :frown Summer and I made the mistake of looking at some in car vids from the last time we did Mojave a...

FOR SALE: 2005 Black No Stripe Heffner TT.......5,875 miles

Thank you Kendall for the detailed description of things that I very poorly conveyed when I talked to the last half a dozen people who called me about the car. After we discussed driving and the basic tech things I do understand I was referring them to Kendall for tech talk. For those of you...

FOR SALE: 2005 Black No Stripe Heffner TT.......5,875 miles

Thanks for the positive comments guys. Chris I don't have any kids to yell at me later, so I will have to kick myself someday down the road. :bang :lol Usually when you decide to sell a car you are ready to move on to something else. Each day it doesn't sell is another day it is mine. I am more...

FOR SALE: 2005 Black No Stripe Heffner TT.......5,875 miles

I have never been a garage art kind of guy, I drive. I am not threatening Jeff's mileage record, but I put about 20K miles between the two GT's I have had. My business has been crazy busy the last 6 months and we are now in an intense 2 and a half year process of training a group that is going...

Bill Warner crashes trying 300mph in one mile

I met him when he set the Mojave record at 274 and chatted a bit. Very nice guy......only a year older than me. I was next to go after he set the record so I saw him launch the bike....and it was honestly scary to watch. I am so sad this happened and my heart goes out to him and his family.

MarkH Camo FGT 267.6 mph Texas Mile World Record Video

Wrecks like the Camaro one can really make you think about continuing to run. I know it gives me pause and I don't run near as fast as you guys. If that was your last pass at the mile then you hit a walk off home run. Not a bad way to head off into the sunset. For selfish reasons because I love...

    Texas Mile

First and foremost I am glad the Camaro driver is okay. It is great to know that people are not just trying to build fast cars but safe cars as well. Seeing those pics brings up thoughts I really don't like to have. Second Congrats to Mark H, Sean and their whole team. What an accomplishment...

Or......you could buy a bakers dozen of low mile FGTs

Judi Dench's face and comments in the last Bond when they were bumping along in the DB5 says it all to me about old cars. Roketman has it right, they handle like old cars. Great to look at but lacking in the driving experience department.

    October Mojave Magnum anyone?

Summer and I will most likely be out for both days....at least I will....and Richard Hille should be with us for at least a day. Tech is 220 for regular GT tires like bridgestones and 230 for Hoosiers like the guy above said. At the last Magnum I did "break out" over 230 but nothing was said...
