Since its a week past Carlisle...at Carlise 10, my wife and I stood behind virtually each/every GT during start-up/idle/acceleration and we selected the one we liked best, walked up to that owner and copied exactly what he had done (Heffner H).

My (old) Heffner H-pipe is loud enough for me and most Cars & Coffee crowds.

After 14 years with mine (pulley/tune), I too am cautious!

That guy does not age! He has been generous with his time and GT skills at every event I have ever seen him at!

I don't know about this year BUT a Friend of mine bought a 2006 GT from a seller in the flea market area...so keep your eyes open.

Three to five times a year for about a week each...loved the area. Visited Zuffenhausen/Stuttgart a few times. I used to do the (I think it was) A81/A3 (Heilbronn to Frankfurt) at max speed on almost every trip.

I was with Ziehl-Abegg for 15 years (Kuenzelsau, near Wurth factory). Beautiful area!

Agreed. My review/research showed that when stopped, a solid (10 kts or greater) crosswind MIGHT cause a "blip" in the mass air flow which can cause the computer to hiccup. I think it is more prevalent with non-OEM (K&N) air filters.

Just got back from my test run and I feel like the issue is resolved. Thanks to the collective wisdom of this site (and PeteK, GTG (Rich), White out, Roketman) the worn rear toe links plus one completely blown (rear right) and one leaking (front right) shocks...and 19 year old (49,000 mile)...

Find a local GT owner and buy him/her lunch/beer and pick his brain. Things come up like don't push the start button until the odometer is reading numbers, leave the air mix door in the warmest setting, pop the clam shell after a run to vent the heat (warped trim pieces), etc...

What part # (alternator) and what is the right rectifier #? Good find!!!

I think that is a picture of the inner boot of the toe link...that seemed to be okay. They "look" okay. If replacing the leaking shocks don't resolve the issue completely, I will look at/investigate boots more closely.

Thanks, I THINK the order is being processed. Had to demonstrate current registration.

New Toe Links installed/aligned...resolved most of my issue (yaw under acceleration/deceleration) but found two leaking shocks during inspection. New shocks on the way. (49,000 miles)

Too late for me but darn good advise...like allowing the odometer to register before hitting the start button and popping the rear shell on shut down (to vent heat).
