Hmmm According to Ford engineers the GT, in STOCK trim, is capable of 218 mph if you have a long enough track and if you adjust the rev limiter up 300rpm. Which inspires the question: How much more power (and maybe aero effects) would be necessary to get the GT to 253 mph? Eric

I believe the law in most states (certainly in Georgia and Florida where I have residences) is that you have 3 days to return the car NO QUESTIONS ASKED and the dealer has to take it back. This of course assuming the car is in substantially the same condition it was in on delivery. Eric

W. Mitty, Bart was the first on this forum to notice the non-stock race tires the Italians snuck in for the Road and Track test. I am not surprised Road and Track did not loudly express "mea culpa": they were either duped or just plain sloppy in their reporting/testing. Eric
