What needs to be done:
1. Nat'l Guard on the ENTIRE border immediately (southern for now 'cause THAT's where the BIGGGGGGG pblm is. ARM them and give 'em authority to USE the arms if necessary ...and give 'em orders to stop anybody and anything trying to sneek in w/o going thru a legit border crossing. (And don't gimme the, "our troops arn't trained for that" ,crap. They do it in Germany, Korea etc, etc. Besides, the Constitution SAYS the 1st duty of our armed forces is to DEFEND THE BORDERS OF THE UNITED STATES. If they arn't trained to do that, sumbuddy's butt needs to be kicked in the Pentagon because they ain't dunn their duty.)
2. Put congress to work forging a guest worker program. Give 'em a year to do it. (We here on the Forum could do it in 6hrs or less.) When this is drawn up, give illegals 60 days to register for it. Failure to do so 'made a felony. Any illegal arrested for WHATEVER reason after that who's not registered is deported. If he's caught returning - 20 yrs in jail, then deported again. 'Next time - life.
3. Fine/imprison employers who knowingly hire illegals.
4. Withhold ALL federal funds to cities/states which have "sanctuaries" for illegals.
5. Deport any undocumented immigrant arrested for any crime.
6. "Anchor babies" have to have ONE parent who's a legal U.S. citizen B4 their birth.
(I know there's another one...but my train of thought's taken a dirt road ...)
7. JUST THOUGHT OF IT!!!NO GOV'T BENEFITS TO ANYBODY WHO COULDN'T PROVE CITIZENSHIP!

Any country that doesn't defend it's borders ceases to BE a counrty.

I agree with everyone of your points except #2 . it is not going to work. it is already ILLEGAL to be an illegal. We will not suddenly find illegals....the ones that commit a felony already get deported etc...We are not suddenly going to find 20 million people unless you grant them amnesty. No one is going to come forward with the guest worker program (as it stands) I mean you have to leave for a year etc.
We would be back to square one. Forget fairness (as far as head of the line). Kill the problem by knocking it on its a$$ and then use the tax money generated to reinforce the borders and lock the country down from the outside in.

Listen I think we all agree that the government needs to start tackling this more agressively. We all agree on about 99% of everything that is being said.

My solution fixes the logistical issues that would involve finding and kicking out 20 million people...the equivalent of 6 Major US cities.

I deal with and arrest these criminals every day when they steal from my store. Most of them travel back to Mexico once or more times a year. They get arrested all the time and are released immediatly when they tell the police they are illegal. If they can't work and are detained and deported everytime they are picked up they will go home and stay home. It's not only possible, it would be a snap if we had the national courage (which we don't) to have 75% of them out of this country in 12 months. Mexico would have to put up a fence to try to slow the flow back into that corrupt country. I am out of patience with these criminal invaders. 2 of my step daughters Social Security #'s have been used by illegal alien men and I have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours trying to clean up their destroyed credit. Two years ago while wrestling one of these "hard working good people" to the ground after his 4th arrest for stealing from my shop I tore the tendons loose in two fingers and had to have surgery. The net cost to U.S. Taxpayers for EACH illegal is approaching $100,000!!! The cost to put these criminals into concentration camps and deport them would be far less than that. The cost to get rid of most of them would be "0" as they would leave on their own. Every single illegal alien is a felon as they must use a stolen SSN to work. If they had used your daughters SSN and she couldn't get a passport as a result would you be so understanding? If we took the same approach to other felony crime as we do with this mess young girls could get raped and the police could comfort the victim by telling her that the man was her "undocumented boyfriend". The U.S. used to be a nation of laws. Now we are a nation of men, picking and choosing which laws to enforce and which laws to ignore based upon what is beneficial to the chooser and his party. This has driven a stake through the heart of the core founding principal of this nation--equal justice under the law. I hate illegal immigration, it is destroying this great country.
