This is my second NFGT . No problems with doors staying up on the first but neither door stays up on the 19. Anyone know where I might get replacements? Thanks. Terry

You will have to call concierge. $400 for each door if you have Ford service do it. That does give you a year's warranty. You can do it yourself, part is then about $110 and fairly easy to do. You have to have someone hold the door open while you swap out, and those doors are surprisingly heavy. No warranty on part then.

Thanks. Where do I get part?

From a Ford dealer authorized to work on NGT. I don't know, but I don't think dealers can do NGT parts mail order. The struts are made by Multimatic.

I've had mine replaced under warranty. Haven't found an alternate. Might be a new project for Kendall...

If anyone has an old set that I can borrow....

Ford takes the old ones. They would not let me keep one, but I had them do the work.

If Ford replaced under warranty, they have a right to keep the old ones. If you paid for the new ones, Ford has no right to the old ones.

Yeah , mine were replaced under warranty or I would have kept them. I'm guessing it was the same for Frank..

No, I paid for it out of warranty. Service said it had to go back to Multimatic.

There is probably a core charge.... either that or when you bought the car, you really didn't buy all of it.

That seems to be the trend in cars now. You don't own it, you "license" it. And something I have learned from my experience buying a new 2021 F150 diesel is that every time you want to access the monthly vehicle report that Ford provides, you first have to accept the new privacy and licensing terms, or you don't get the report or any other info.

Screw that shit. I disabled the vehicle communications in my truck. If I can't have the info from Ford, then Ford doesn't get it from me. And they can't sell it to insurers or other third parties either.

Struts are a wear item & need to be replaced with time. The heavier the part the strut has to work harder.

These are backordered 30-60 days per my concierge. If anyone needs a set get an order in now if you think you'll need them.

How much did you all pay for the gas struts? I was charged $2,800 for both doors, seems very high.

GT parts have gotten crazy expensive...i bought a tail light control module back in 2019 it was like $400 to $500.. The list price is now over $4000....

See post 2 on this thread.

Sounds like Galpin. Frank said they were $110 each if you bought them outright (Post 2).

That's what I thought, they have not even installed them yet, they charged me that in parts to order them lol.

When the new strut failed within 3 months and I needed replacement before Rally 14, the tech came out to my house and did it. Took 10 min.
