A Powerful and Stirring Weekend for Sure

Thanks guys! I continue to believe that owning these incredible cars is only part of the story, the people I've met and friendships made bring continue to bring me an unmeasurable joy.

Steve, I am so very happy for you. It would have been my choice as well. So glad your one of the few to get such a great combo and to mate it with your experience tops it all. Seems like yesterday a dozen years ago when our GT dreams stitched us all together.

Enjoy, Tom

New GT prep.

Gentlemen,

Our good friend Steve has a beautiful Heritage GT coming yet he had never even sat in one as of two days ago. But after arriving here at Beck’s Landing for an overnight stay yesterday he took the new #34 out for a drive. I believe it exceeded his expectations. We followed up with dinner with the Moose’s at Don & Charlie’s in Scottsdale. DBK suggested multiple treadmill sessions and a diet of salad and ice water until he takes delivery for a better fit. But Steve thinks he fits fine as is. I love this Forum.

Chip

Chip, thanks again so much for opening your beautiful home to both me and William.S . Giving us both the opportunity to see, touch and yes pilot a NFGT was beyond gracious. Dinner with the Moose's was also an unsuspected treat!
The Car. Damn, first real up close and personal with one and wow, just wow! The fit and finish are like no car I've ever seen. The attention to detail, especially the CF work on the entire car (top and bottom is mind blowing for sure. I actually even spent a few minutes inside the beauty (having just sent in a deposit check) looking for those "cheesy" gauges a few magazine writers spoke of and all I could find was a very well thought out cockpit full of crafted billet aluminum. I am just convinced that a few of those guys just have a pre written boiler plate response when reviewing anything American crafted. Job Well Done Ford!
As for you DBK, I would expect nothing less. Even though you knew I was down for almost a year with broken hip due to a flying W bike dismount thus had gained "MAYBE" a pound or 2 you just couldn't resist the cheap shot could you. Such a dick! And the sad thing is I was "sucking it in" for that pic LMAO! :rofl
