I'm working on a special event after lunch on Thursday. Once I get a confirmation I'll post the plan.

There will be BBQ on Sunday at dinner and also on Wednesday at dinner in case you are in town by then. I'll post the Wednesday itinerary tomorrow. I will also post Thursday tomorrow. I'm waiting on a phone call for a surprise tour of a major racing vendor in the area.

Dr Frank will be looking at home improvement shows, we will be going to Simpson Racing for a private tour. We will leave from the JW Marriott at 10 for a hill country drive stopping at a lunch spot in Gruene. Time permitted there are several shops to tour then on to Simpson at 2:00. I'll check this thread for a head count for lunch. Simpson also has a factory store that includes racing suits, helmets, and 5 point harnesses.
 
I am up for thursday drive...
 
Not sure how Thursday is going to work out as we might head to Cota, and also coordinating car delivery. Point being not sure if lunch or the drive will work out for us. I assume it would be OK to just show up at Simpson at 2, if we can make it?

Please count me and Patty with friends Gaylyn and his wife Dawn. We are planning on getting in on Wed trailering two GT's from FL and will miss Sunday's drive as we will be driving back home after race on Saturday. So would love to do the lunch and driving Thursday.

Count us in for two (Tim and Kim). Although we will be driving a rental car so we may not be able to keep up.

I think you'll find rental cars are always the fastest :D
 
Small world story. I found out about Simpson Racing tours through the regional Shelby group. They will be there at 9.
 
We'll meet up with you in Gruene for lunch (Gristmill?), only about twenty minutes from the ranch

Thursday plan:

I will roll into the garage shortly before 10 and roll out at 10 sharp. I have printed directions and addresses of both destinations. Gristmill restaurant and Simpson Performance. We will try for lunch at noon. We need to be in front of Simpson Performance for a photo shoot and tour at 2:00 sharp. Here are the directions, but I will have copies at the garage.

Thursday trip to Gruene

Take 2nd street west until it ends
Turn left
Turn right on Caesar Chavez
Take Loop 1 South It will turn into 45 west
Proceed to 45 until it ends
Turn left on 1826
Turn left on 150
Turn right on 3237
Turn left on 12
Turn right on 32
Turn left on 3424
Turn left on 306

Simpson Performance Products 328 FM 306, New Braunfels
 
Helen and I will try to make lunch and defiantly Simpson Performance Products. We'll hide the Mustang out the back for the shoot ��
