They're trying to "make" a collector car. Let the ADMs begin. Just wait for 2016 MY. There will be plenty (GT500-like numbers)

And some pricing info. Sounds too low, no?

FTA: "First, we have the standard GT350. As we reported earlier, only 50 cars will get the $7,500-Tech Package, which includes magnetic ride control, navigation with Sync 3, dual-zone climate control, and heated, air-conditioned, leather-upholstered, and powered seats. The other 50 standard models will get the $6,500-Track Package. You'll still get magnetic ride control, selectable driving modes and enhanced cooling systems for the engine oil, trans and diff. Stand-alone navigation is $795, a black roof is $695, stripes are $475, and as with the standard Mustang, Triple Yellow Clearcoat paint is $495.

Fancy one of the just 37 GT350Rs? You'll pony up (pun intended) an extra $3,500 on top of the price of a GT350. From there, Mustang6G cites a $3,000-SVT Touring Package, which we think references the Electronics Package (navigation, Sync 3, and dual-zone climate control). Outside of those two items, the GT350R's only additional options include a black roof, stand-alone nav, and stripes, all of which carry the same price as the standard car."

The Car and Driver video sounds like the engine is missing on a couple cylinders to me. Not the normal V8 sound.

Ugh.

Not true.

Ugh.

Not true.

Really. If that was true, we'd all say "Hell yeah! Here's $5k and keep the change."

A lot of nonsense comes out of Mustang6G.

I like to get all my information from thePill.

A lot of the Mustang and Shelby forums are apoplectic about the limited numbers; they haven't figured out its a marketing move for MY 2015 only. I suspect both GT350 and R will be available at list if patience is exercized, at least that's my plan.

People will believe anything except the direct words of relevant parties. I don't know why they can't figure it out. Ford has already publicly stated the GT350 will be produced in similar numbers to the GT500. There will be plenty of base GT350s to go around and a very reasonable quantity of Rs. Having a handful of units produced late in the calendar year as MY15 to have symmetry with the original is a very silly reason to get bent out of shape. Good for those that want them, irrelevant to those who just want the car.

Yep, just wait the two months for the 2016 MY vehicles. Read carefully, the 2015's are at the end of the cycle and the 2016's will roll over after the 2015s end. I wouldn't be surprised to see the order banks for both model years open at the same time. They are trying to make the first vehicles "collector cars" (which rarely works, look at all of the 50th anniversary Mustangs still in dealer showrooms with 30K adms). If you want a car to lock up and lose money on, go ahead and get one of those "one of 50" or "one of 37" 2015s. If you want a driver at MSRP wait a few weeks.

My Ford rep told me today, "all 2015 GT350's are spoken for, none will be allocated to dealers! All VIP and Ford employees are getting those cars"

^^^

Makes perfect sense.

A Ford dealer in Cincinatti has a MY 2015 GT350R available for $7500 over list. I think I'll wait til they come down to list

Is that a '15 or a '16? If it's a '15 (1 of 34) and your into potential collectability, you may want to consider it.

Yea right send me his number I will take 10.

These cars are going to be real scarce for at least 2 years from now. The allocation numbers we saw are less than half the GT 500 number through MY16 vehicles.

The flippers are out already....

Check this out already. How can they say "they are allocated 4" when dealers can go ahead a place order now?
