38 mile 2005 white/blue stripe sold, $280k + 8% fee (or 5% without reserve). Strong money!

Funny . Have a friend who was a long time Ford salesman. He said in 05 the got almost 230 for a white / blue.

Then they had a Heritage that sat and went for MSRP. Another friend ordered a Heritage and couldn't work out financing. That car sat for a year because folks found it ugly.

Go figure.

Yup, and the 69 427 L88 did 450k + premium

Strong money for a green/green car with a restamped motor.

How can you only have 3 miles considering just transportation loading and unloading?

I know that dealer from many years ago. Wonder if he ever started it or if it just sat for all these years. Seals could be an issue if it was not run at all, but I'll bet it brings big money. Be nice for a museum collection.

Mine was delivered to my house with 2.2 miles on it.

The red one went for $315,000. Wow!

I think everyone fell asleep. '03 SL55 can't get $25k. This was a $120k car when our GTs were being born.

Holy crap the heritage went for 510 before fees! Lord!

Wonderful to see. Enjoy the ride my fellow GT owners its only gonna gett better. Drive them, store them or wax them, we are the first generation owners and like original Cobra owners back in the day, the ride will only get wilder.
GTJOEY TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVED IN THE AMERICAN ICON!

For those interested www.goodingco.com just went live with their auction.

at the end of the mecum auction that tungsten with 10,600 miles went for $240K

How soon before this is all the greater fool theory? $510G PLUS buyers fee? At this pace, low mile salvage cars will be north of $200 large.

^^^ Thanks for that. I can actually listen to the Gooding auctioneers. I had to turn the sound off on the Mecum guys.

Forget what I just said. X2 builders has a white NS, 1100 miles, rebuilt with salvage title, $250,000. Ugh....

I have to say, Gooding is a lot more exciting than Mecum. $1.7M for a Countach. The coke snorters are outbidding the drunkards.

OMG...that strawberry 300SL roadster.

OMG II...I'm not an auction follower. But, it's clear to me that Mecum is cheesy and Gooding is classy.

With prices so stupid. It just goes to show you that even if you put mileage on it,its still a collector car!
Drive it and enjoy the ride!
