Ok...I have never been to Carlisle. This event sounds like a complete zoo. The truth is, I would be afraid to do this on my own with my GT. I am hoping to attach myself to someone who knows the ropes. Ready to trailer the GT up if I can follow the leader. I'm hoping to join a GT event.
 
I'm pretty sure the second guy who posted knows a thing or two about Carlisle!

The GT's will be placed strategically behind the Matech Ford GT1 tent (right across the row will be the SVT tent). Needless to say it will be a nice area of the field - in fact, if you recall where the car wash area is located on the field, we'll be a row over. I'm glad to hear you'll be heading out, it'll be worth the drive!

Those of you going to Carlisle should eat at the Boiling Springs Tavern, not very far away and a nice drive. The owner is a friend and fellow car nut.

Geoff is a great guy and the food at Boiling Springs Tavern is incredible - I second everything you stated above (plus he's a car guy!).

I was sure you knew him. His son goes to school with mine and he has a place near my home in Florida. Honestly, his tavern has some of the best food I've eaten anywhere.
 
Xcentric, we'll be heading up Thursday. Start in Orlando and pick up buddy in Jacksonville then on from there. We're probably taking Boss9 this year so we will be trailering. KO
 
We will be there, but taking a stang probably. We need 4 seats....yeah yeah... Buy another gt....

On a serious note, this is a great event. Tons of fords in a field. Can it get better? It's big, but not unmanageable.

Andy, I'm going based on the recommendations posted above. I made a reservation for four at 7:00. So far, it's me, Amy, and possibly Howard. If there is interest, I could try to make a group reservation. IDK how many they can handle.

I registered for the downtown Carlisle parade Saturday evening.
