How do you like this for a track toy?

1998 PRC. Like it a lot - really looks like a real race car.

I have not bought it - yet :biggrin:facepalm: - just entertaining the idea of also owning an open cockpit race car/track toy .... buying a Radical SR3 would probably be a wiser and less maintenance heavy choice, but I must say that I like the idea of racing a real Group C type car.

Tough choice to make. Really cool car.

The expense of running is considerably more than a Radical!Plus find someone who is capable of working on it.Just my 02

Seems to be missing exhaust manifold/header.
Nuts and bolts hanging around.
Beautiful car!
Race cars always hurt the wallet.
Best of luck.

You´re right - I should. I must however say, I can´t recall ever returning from a Rally with any Money left in my pocket :biggrin:lol:facepalm:

I agree with your "warnings". No doubt that a race car like this will both drain the wallet as well as increasing the risk of my wife collecting the insurance :wink However, I don´t do any other drugs than cars, and not much makes me more happy than when trying to balance a car right on the edge ( I know Rocketman will say there´s still a lot left in the car when I think it´s maxed out :biggrin:facepalm: ) and accepting the fact that I will never be a pro racer, at least I can pretend by running a car that looks like it .... :wink

This particular car has never been beat up or damaged, it´s built for much stronger engines in mind than the 285 hp Volvo powering it now - so everything is capable of withstanding much more. It´s still about the fastest sports car in this region - winner of last two years main sports car event - and in mechanical good shape. I know the current owner, and his way of perfecting things to become extremely reliable, so not worried it´s going to be that much of a money pit if only used for track days.

It is however not quite as modern as a new Radical. The dash and datalogging is oldschool and everything just looks and feels more vintage. 2 meters wide, it looks intimidating compared to the smaller bodied 2 liter sportscars, big ass tires on old school 13 inch magnesium wheels .....

Look how it eats a 911 GT3 RS :thumbsup
