Car was listed for $185 (Aug 2010) and sold for $175k (Sept 2010). It was in Canada. Owned by a car collector and I was going to buy but do not like cars that are not driven and just sit but I got the VIN and when to the dealer to get some info on it. Also connected a forum member with a Heritage in the same area to see if he knew this owner, but he did not.

C'mon GTROB we are waiting , I am sure if you post where you saw this mythical heritage for 175K there will be a lot of guys here willing to buy it

I had a chance to buy a heritage for 175K 2 years ago that had 5000miles on it and I passed to get the one I have , not a heritage , that color scheme is not for me but it has turned out to be a keeper in relation to value as I am sure Shelby at Elite Autos can attest , and that is not to say that all GTs are keepers , they are !!!

OK, I'm a big car guy and understand the collectible and keeping it true to the original part of it so do not shot me. So putting that aside and the fact you are not wealth, if you got $190k to spend and are going to drive the car and rack up the mileage on it, wouldn't it make more sense to buy a less expensive one (sorry but I gots to say it) a red colored one, then spending $3-5k to wrap the car in the heritage colors and using the rest of the money to Whipple or TT the car (whatever blows your skirt up), add Moton's, ZR1 carbon brakes and go and have some fun with it? I think you would have way more fun that way, because isn't that the reason you bought the car in the first place. Maybe it's the cheap bastard in me talking or maybe because I am not at the 'money is no object stage' or even worst thinking in business terms.

I saw that auction, there was a problem with one of the bidders as he withdrew his bid. I'm not sure if he felt that they (BJ) was running the car up on him or if he got cold feet but Craig Jackson bought the car himself for the hammer price of around 650/750 not sure. The car had miles on it and did not look like it was in the best shape.
