engine stalling at traffic lights

Car now back to running flawlessly without me doing anything! Here's my theory; after reading everyone's posts, I went to investigate the possible dreaded gas-flap failure, I popped the cap, pulled back the the 'slider' and peered in at the flap. These actions either caused the flap to somehow re-seat itself from a previous slight mis-alignment (I poked at it with my finger) and/or vented/neutralised a pressure/vacuum condition in the gas tank. Any of this make sense? I certainly will be sure to repeat the finger-poking routine if I ever get into a 'stalling behaviour' again.

Just made a run to Home Depot in it this morning and, again, running perfectly - I'm convinced it was something to do with the fuel filler. It was funny, one of the workers in the store stalked me, and kept asking if I needed help. Eventually I gave in and told him what I was looking for - some black silicone sealer. He said "you're not going to use that on the GT are you?" Apparently he'd seen me drive up in it took a bunch of photos with his phone and then raced after me into the store. He was actually pretty knowledgeable about both the GT and the products in Home Depot - a big change from my usual experience there!

I am glad that she is home and being exercised

Now as for the idle issue; typically when the fuel tank is greater than 3/4 full or less than 1/4 full then the purge system is not active so she should act/operate as designed. Having shared this I agree that the filler neck is the likely culprit; many of the gals have had the issue and not tossed a code.

I had or have the same scenario of sometimes stalling when changing from 2nd to 1st when stopping - it is a bit concerning as one day sods law says it wont restart and will mean a totally embarrasing 'get out and push' experience. :frown
I have come to the conclusion that it only does it when the car is full of fuel so this points to the filler neck problems that all speak of?
I periodically open the filler cap now and insert my finger to slide and check the cap.
Now I do love my car - but not that much haha. :cool
Dont think that anyone has an actual definitive for this problem??

My filler neck is broken, I cleared the codes and on a full tank of fuel I'm still stalling...the shadow knows all about it so when I get a chance I'm going to call him and try to figure out what is going on! I pulled up to two really hot woman the other day at a stop light and she stalled out and made a fool out of me..I gotta get this fixed!!

How many of you keep the gas pump goose neck in the filler tube while you tend to something else? When this issue first surfaced, I started holding the pump in hand instead of letting rest on the inside of the filler neck in fear of doing internal damage.
