I see they have posted the official 3 day event speeds, but we were not included. I would be interested in a thread for us on the forum that lists year, speed, octane tune / used, modifications, and tires that is ranked by speed.

Would probably help people get some ideas on what works and doesn't. I would be willing to put it into a table that I would edit with new data.

I'll start

...put your car up on jackstands...connect your GT's fuel system to several 50 gallon fuel barrels...start the car...shift thru the gears to 6th...put a brick on the 'pedal so the speedo reads 70 mph or better, and walk away.

You oughta match Jeffey's miles in about 7-8 months...provided HIS CAR is snowed in over the winter...:lol

here is a link to the weather that day > http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KTXGOLIA1&month=10&day=15&year=2009

at 12:03 PM the corrected density altitude was 2973 feet above sea level. the winds were coming from the SSE at 4.0 mph with 7.0 mph wind gusts.

164.647/91 Octane/Goodyears/bone stock/2006/macjec

Goal was 180...wish it had been cooler....might have made it. It was a thrill, especially on the first run as I turned off my AC as I started and my glasses totally fogged up....good thing it was a straight line shot.

i have a turbocharged drag bike and a nitrous injected drag bike and when i used to race them in the winter time the visor on my helmet would fog up from my hot breath as the leathers i was wearing would always make me overheat. even though i would try to control my breathing on the starting line; my heart was always racing a 1000 mph. once i got to the 1/8 mile mark all the fog would dissipate because i was going 100+ mph at that point :lol
