Big Power Cars

4.0L here for the staggering.

I should have my ART-TT out there. Also, might bring the SL65 Black Series.

I'll be running the Camilo/Heffner TT car. But, without a four/five point harness I'll be lifting to keep my trap speed under 190mph :frown

Any idea what a ported, polished OEM SC, Accufab throttle body, pulley, tune and cat back exhaust might do, HP wise and top speed in the mile? I have the 3.9 gears for what that's worth. Any chance to hit 200 in the mile?
thanks

Well I'll be the only one sporting a big single turbo.:biggrin

I did 190 with 620whp but we had a good tail wind that day. The weather will make all the difference in top speeds.

Good times are guaranteed.

Whipple, but I'm not sure I have the cajones to run over 190mph anyway.

Ditto... would it be safe to do this with OEM seat belts and no other safety equipment other than a helmet & fire extinguisher?

If things go wrong, there wont be much difference between 190 and 200. The Texas Mile has an extremely good safety record though. It has been said here already but after one or two runs down the tarmac and you will know what you are comfortable with... just go from there.

so all 4 tired should be at 40 psi?

Just how big is that turbo??:thumbsup Thanks for receiving our cars. Looking forward to meeting you next week.

I'm just hoping for no rain, looks like it's been a wet year for TX. A tail wind will be a bonus.

I don't put much weight into any forecast much more than 3 days out. Someone from the area tell me how servere are the TX thunderstorms this time of year? I remember driving toward Hilo in HI where the rain was so bad I decided to turn back!

Are we going to have the new 4.0 Whipple show????
Another 4.0 here. I hope it is a cool clear day for us...

if we get hit by some of the storms that have been coming through the area I don't mean to be a doomsayer but we will be spending a lot of time getting to know each other on 6th street :biggrin

lets hope for clear skies!!!
