Did I miss something?

I know a bunch of people were interested in the new Whipple but I don't see anyone asking about Fubar's results.

I believe he made 765rwhp with the 19psi pulley on pump gas in 100+ degree Texas heat. I think he should be real close to 790ish rwhp on a 65 degree day. Seems to me to be a good 50hp gain. Also, from what I remember, the IATs Fubar reported were a lot lower than previous Whipple figures I have heard. That has got to be a big deal in the real world.

We don't know if those were corrected or uncorrected numbers. Also, as we all should know, hard to compare dyno numbers. The IAT2 were a little high for my comfort zone, but in the summer heat in TX, maybe not out of the norm.
 
I will try to get the dyno charts posted up here. I thought I would have them by now, but you know how that goes.
 
This is the graph with 0 smoothing.... with smoothing set on 5 the result was 765hp.

I wonder why the torque doesnt match the HP? Probably just tuning. Mine made 743hp 743rwt with a Gen 2 19psi. Great numbers with the 4L

Wow, that is strange. I wouldn't think you could tune out 100ft/lbs of torque.

Did you do a BEFORE dyno so you can compare? Otherwise, it's tough to really make sense of the true increase of the Whipple 4.0....
 
Yes, but I have not gone back to that dyno to compare. I feel that you really need to run it again on the same machine (hopefully with similar ambient conditions) to compare changes like that.

These dyno runs were strictly for tuning.

best way to compare is to find a closed private road in Mexico and run a car with a gen 1 or 2 Whipple.

Well I'e got the billet a-arms, so my car is much lighter than his. It probably wouldn't be a fair run.
 
New info:

The fuel pumps are probably working as intended. They are supposed to be good to 1200hp. Here is the math:

770 rwhp
130 lost in the transmission (conservatively)
300 lost in the whipple
------
1200 crank hp

Ya but I was told that is reasonable on a big blower. The 3.4L whipple would call a 90% duty cycle on fuel pumps. So I figure that 100% on the 4L is normal. My next step is a set of bosch 0-44s fuel injectors. Hopefully the Ford ems can deal with more psi. I'd like to run 75-100psi in the lines.

I'll keep you guys in the loop.

Put the 52lbers out of the Gt500's in your car. They are easy and cheap to get. Or you can have your 39's converted to 50lbs injectors for about 30-45$ apiece.

I are running out of fuel pressure/flow, or injector pulse width, or both?
