Gentlemen,
After a couple months of helping to moderate this Forum, one item continually crops up so I’d like to bring it to the attention of the membership at-large. The written Forum policy regarding placing a for-sale ad for anything in any section of the Ford GT Forum.
1. Selling ANYTHING, from a car to a trinket without being a subscribing member is prohibited. Membership in the Ford GT Forum is free, but there are many privileges and sections of this Forum that are available only to subscribing members. There are many costs involved in maintaining a Forum such as this. Member dues and sponsor fees are the funds that keep this Forum alive. DBK rejects the majority of people seeking sponsor status in order to keep this an uncluttered and pleasant place to spend some time. If you've been hanging out here for a while without a sponsor banner under your name and thus allowing your fellow members to pay the freight, it's time to step up. One of the privileges available only to sponsoring members is running a “For Sale” ad. If a non-subscribing member advertises anything for sale in any section of the forum, he is violating written forum policy and that ad will be stricken. http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/announcement.php?f=11 -Read the last sentence of #1. If a member sees an item placed for sale in the Forum by a non-subscribing member, please send me a PM and I will address it.
2. When a subscribing member does list something for sale, it should have some connection to automobiles. For example, a painting of GT1 cars racing at Sebring would be okay, a painting of water lilies would not. A Bentley by Breitling wristwatch or a stopwatch chronograph would probably be okay, a diamond studded ladies Rolex would not. Exceptions to this policy can only be made by contacting DBK and getting his personal OK. We do not want to turn this Forum into a limited membership eBay. If you want to sell something that has no connection to automobiles, keep it off the Forum and list it on eBay. Thanks!
All the best.
