Guys ,finally looking for the 4 post. THERE ARE 5 MILLION LIFTS ALL CLAIMING BUILT IN AMERICA AND THE OTHER GUYS IS GOING TO FALL ON MY HEAD?Any help please want to install as more toys are coming.ANOTHER GT? MAYBE? NEED A LIFT. THANKS GUYS GTJOEY 1314/0004:thumbsup

Joey - there were a lot of posts on this in the past, but when I was interested, I was dealing with a company called ARESCO in Pontiac Mich. They were American made, did a lot of work for the 3 Autos in Assembly plants etc and in my case, would do the deliver and the installation.
Budget constraints (ie no recent toys added) negated the near term need so I have not purchased.

Joey, love my bendpak!!!! I have an old Autolifter lift, which is a identical design to the back yard buddy, but IMO the Bendpak is as well built , has a greater lifting capacity(9000lb) and is less costly. If you ever want to check them out in person let me know.

John

PS- As far as assembly goes the Back Yard buddy is probably easier, but I have assembled both my lifts by by self without to much difficulty.

Joey,
Bendpack here also. American made and available in wide widths perfect for your GT's.:thumbsup

Lifts, like virtually all shop equipment, are a glut on the market. I routinely see lifts sold for scrap prices circa 25 bucks. These are professional quality items from failed dealerships.

Dr Harms,
Please post a link, past or present, or scan an ad. It would be the first positive post you have ever made on this board.
Thank you,

got any links to places that are selling cheap?

Bony posted about a lift that I purchased from Costco of All Places for $1695.00, here is the link below looks like they have gone up $200. I use it for the GT and it's great, took me about 6 hours to install and works off of 110V. Good Luck

How many people have bolted down the posts? need to know as most installers are saying leave them free standing for movement. Thanks.. gtjoey 1314/0004:thumbsup

I have a backyardbddy and do not have it bolted. Don't see the need to bolt it.

cheapie Chinese lifts I MIGHT consider bolting.

Joey,

I can really recommend this company. I have had many lifts and these are built extra sturdy, thicker steel plates and components are generally bigger than most others. The pricing is competitive.

I bought mine a few years ago at the PRI show and they were recommended to me by a few friends that had several of them.

I leave mine free standing and use the wheel kit. With the car on it one person can easily roll the hoist around in any direction.

Bendpak HD-9B with 116 between post width - GTJOEY make sure it is as wide as possible!

No Bolt

Danmarc on sales at Costco for ~$1,500

GTJoey - see other post on lifts as they are like buying a cell phone one member said :rofl. Check with ALI.org

And if space is a concern and you have several to store.
You buy 1 lift with he wheels and how ever many balcony "stands"
Roll the lift up to the balcony roll the car on your off the lift and let her donw to drive. Very easy compact and a whole lot less than buying several lifts.

I have to be careful not to let my wife see this photo, because if she gets the idea I want to make "our" garage look like this, the "wife-fines" will be heavy...

I have 3 of them and none are bolted down. Makes it handy to wheel over to the wash bay, drive the car on and clean the underside. :thumbsup
