Transaxle Breather Kit

There is a small spiral (I think copper or brass) baffle in it.

Mine is blue and has "GT Saver" inscribed on it.

Thanks for the pics BlackICE (and Shadowman). Hard to believe this little extension is as effective as the larger unit. Does anyone have experience with BOTH units that can give an opinion as to which one is best? :willy

My personal experience with the assembly from GT Saver aka Jay has been wonderful.

As I understand; it has a special shaped and tempered bronze screen that acts as a small oil separator

Now as for comparing GT Saver’s system to the system as offered by T&A aka Alex; I suspect that under extreme circumstance that Alex’s would do a better job because it has both a greater distance for fluid to travel as well as an expansion tank integrated.

In the end for me it was simply a styling issue

Takes care

I put both the cooler and the vent on mine....

I understand the GT was originally designed to have a transaxle cooler and I feel happier having one - and the vent is probably useful too. No seepage since either were fitted.

Where can I buy GT Saver aka Jay's vent? Doesn't seem to be listed on gtsaver.com.

Flawless logic !!! :thumbsup I now see the merit for each unit. Thanks so much Shadowman :biggrin (ever thought of running for public office? God knows we could use ONE honest, intelligent individual in government) :usa
